WARNING: Percy is not a nice guy in this chapter and goes through something dark. In case of offense, I recommend you read with caution. Thanks:)

Percy felt an overwhelming wave of annoyance when Cupid didn't answer. He tried to stay sane, pulling his hair as he watched Nico thrash beside him. But he quickly let go of his sanity as he saw more and more bloodred liquid leave the younger demigod's mouth. Feeling helpless, Percy screamed in fustration.

"AHHH!!" He vented out, feeling like his heart was being ripped out of his chest and stabbed over and over. Never has he felt so much mental pain. Never has he hated a god more than Cupid.

Love has made you blind Percy Jackson. Cupid stated, making Percy's blood boil. Your love is close to you.

"What do you mean?" The older demigod demanded, wanting this confusion to end. "Stop speaking in riddles!"

Love has stolen your ability to hear the truth. Cupid replied. The answer you seek has always been in front of you.

"Look, I know your the god of love and all, but in the name of Zues, TELL ME HOW TO SAVE NICO!" Percy roared, completly losing it. The older demigod didn't care if he pissed of Cupid, he wanted Nico's pain to end here and now.

Suddenly, Percy flew back into a pillar to his right, making his sword go flying. He felt his head crack as his body made impact with the hard stone. A ear-splitting headache started to throb in his brain, pounding his skull relentlessly.

"Have it your way." Percy said as he got to his feet, glad that Cupid decided to attack him. He had a scary glint in his eyes as he looked for a rippling of movement, wanting blood for what Cupid was doing to Nico.

The air rippled as a blade flew towards Percy, making an arch towards the demigod's body. It was intercepted with Riptide when Percy grabbed it quickly, for it had lied only a few feet away.

Very good Jackson. Cupid said. You sense love's true form.

Not caring, Percy fended off another attack, using it to his advantage and pressing forward. Gold and red blood stained the ground as they fought, mixing together in an oarngish color.

They fought like this for a while, both getting more battered and bruised as time went on. Percy felt his strength wavering as he doged another attack, knowing he was going to pass out soon.

You don't have what it takes. Cupid stated as if they were chatting about the weather. You will never defeat love.

"You're wrong." Percy spat, anger coursing through his veins. He would never give up on Nico. Never again is he going to bring the younger demigod dissapointment. His heart clenched at the thought of failing the son of Hades again. Yet the older demigod knew that he was running out of time, for Nico's thrashing about seemed to get weaker. Plus, the son of Poseidon was starting to worry that he'd pass out. And that can't happen with Nico's current condition.
