Chapter 1

// MINA //

"Mina he's here," my older brother Jeonghan called out from downstairs.

"I'm coming just one second," I yelled back.

I was currently getting ready to go out on a date with my crush who finally asked me out.

I first met Seungcheol at a party my brother hosted five months ago.

I had met Seungcheol before but only ever got to have small talk with him.

My brother had a huge group of friends, twelve to be exact including Seungcheol. They were all in the same school back in 6th grade, and ended up graduating together and staying close friends since. Having the same interests and hobbies led them to study similar courses and eventually work together at a gaming company, but I only ever saw them a few times because they all lived in Seoul.

Ever since Seungcheol and I met at the party, we talked a lot and found out that we had so much in common. It led us to be good friends, but as time went on, I realised that I had developed feelings for him, and turns out he did as well. He asked me out exactly two weeks ago.

This morning he had called me to see if I was free to go see a movie, and since I didn't have any homework pending I agreed instantly. It was kind of hard to see him since I was currently in my last year of high school and had exams, and he lived in Seoul while I was here in Busan.

But he was here for the past month since he had work to do here with my brothers so I thankfully had time to spend with both of them. I was so happy to see my brother since I barely ever saw him.

Although it won't be like that for too long since my mom and I are moving to Seoul after I graduate.

I grabbed my purse along with my phone and stuffed it in. I quickly pulled on my converse and ran down the stairs as I saw Jeonghan leaning on the door, as soon as he heard me come down he looked up and smiled small.

"You said he was here," I looked at him in confusion.
Just then I heard my phone vibrate, signalling I got a text. I opened it to see it was from Seungcheol

seungcheol :
hey I'll be there in five minutes,
sorry I took a while:(

it's okay:)

"No he's not here yet, I just said that so you'd hurry because I need to ask you something before you leave," he said walking up to me.

"Well what is it?" I asked.

"Are you...dating Seungcheol?"

Right..that one little piece of information I forgot to include..we haven't told anyone yet.

I froze on the spot, I didn't know what to say...Seungcheol thought we should wait for a while and tell everyone together, well that's not happening anymore...because there is no way I could lie out of this.

"U-Uh what makes you think that?"

"Mina, I'm not stupid, and plus, I knew from the beginning that Seungcheol liked you." he replied, looking at me straight in the eyes.

"He asked me out a few days ago, t-two weeks ago actually," I said laughing awkwardly.

He breathed out loudly closing his eyes, before opening them and saying, "So you said yes? That's why you've been so giddy nowadays."

"I'm sorry I wanted to tell you earlier but Seungcheol wanted to wait for a while before telling everyone."

"But I really do like him, I have for a while actually but I just never knew until he asked me out," I spoke again.
