Chapter Thirty-Seven: You don't need to thank me because I'd do anything for you.
GEORGE laughed as Theresa, a waitress at Mindy's began to sing 'Dancing Queen' on the karaoke machine.
Tonight was one of the best nights of his life and he wouldn't have changed it one bit. It was all thanks to the girl that was mouthing along to Theresa.
Lacing his fingers through Lydia's, he stood up and laid her to the makeshift dance floor. There, they both danced till their feet began to hurt.
Lydia laid on George's chest, listening to his heart beating in his ribcage. It's so fast. Looking up, she saw him smiling down at her. That explains it.
Once they both arrived home from Mindy's diner, both of them were recked. They laid on George's bed, just like they did back in high-school but this time was different because they were deeper in love with each other.
George found himself lost in her blue eyes, the ocean he often found himself drowning in. "I-thank you for everything, Lydia. Today was one of the greatest days of my life," George said sincerely.
Lydia just smiled, kissing his jawline, "You deserved it but I'm glad you enjoyed it."
Chuckling George, rolled over so that he was hovering over Lydia. A grin on his face that mirrored Lydia's expression.
"I'm not that tired anymore," he smirked, placing a kiss on her lips, short and sweet leaving Lydia wanting more. Needing more.
Wrapping her arms around his neck, Lydia pulled him in until their lips were a millimetre apart, "I'm not either."
