Carson's P.O.V.

*Parallel scene to the beginning of chapter 27*

I was so fucking pissed that my mate would keep something this big from me. Bella (his nickname for Isabella) and I were finally getting along. She had told us she knew about the prophecy and she knew about the fact we swore to kill all the white wolves. It felt like a betrayal. Shit, shit and shit! This is not how it is supposed to go. My wolf has refused to talk to me because we left our mate at the house so soon after an attack. I wasn't even sorry, so he decided to go to the back of my mind. Once I got into the car with the other Alphas, we started to talk. Aiden commented first,

"They are going to be in danger." We all growl at that statement, but Aiden lifts his hand in protest. "It's true." Daniel adds,

"We also basically told the whole forest about them being white wolves. There could have been a rogue out there." They all nod. There is silence again when we think about the implications of that statement. We are all living an hour away in a hotel. When we arrived, I suddenly felt a great pain in my chest. It was night, but I knew the pain came from Bella. The others react similarly. I shift and run into the woods. At full speed I can make it there in 15 minutes instead of an hour. The Alphas soon follow, anxious to check on our mates. We might be mad at them, but I love her, and so do the others. Half way to the house, everyone but Christopher and I pass out. I could smell wolfsbane in the air which meant that their mates had been infected. Emma and Izzy must have resisted somehow which meant Christopher and I were fully functionable. We had to wait for the others to get rid of the wolfsbane in their systems. If this was a well-coordinated attack, there was safety in numbers.

About five minutes later, the Alphas woke up and they were angry. I dealt with them though. Being the most dominant and strongest Alpha made them bow to me. After that, we resumed running. I mind-link my main warrior,

"Get a team and meet us at Luna's house." I break off the connection, knowing that my word would be respected. The other Alphas and I run in silence. When we arrive at the house, it is completely silent. Too silent. There were no guards or angry mates. I go to the back of the house and the guards are there, unconscious with a couple dead. I sniff the air, wolfsbane. I signal the others to retreat. There was no need to breathe in the wolfsbane. I shift back to human form with the others and go to a cache nearby for clothes and masks to not breathe in the wolfsbane. I know Alex warned the reinforcements about the wolfsbane, so they will come prepared. I enter the house and my nose is assaulted by the smell of over fifty rogues.

My first stop was each of the girls room. I start by Emma's. When I enter, I can see she put up a fight. There is one dead rogue on the floor and signs of a struggle. I hear Christopher, her mate, growl in approval at her fierceness. We continue on, but will return later to examine the dead rogue. The other girls' rooms are in perfect state which shows they went without a fight. Alex comments,

"They were probably knocked out like we were in the forest by wolfsbane." I nod my head, it makes sense. Last but not least, we approach Izzy's room. I enter first and it is clear she did not go easily into the night. There were ten dead rogues around the room. Everyone chuckles a little at Izzy's temperament and I say,

"We can see exactly who they had the most problem kidnapping." Aiden adds,

"I am impressed ten rogues dead." Jason also mentions,

"There is a syringe on the ground near the window. It seems like they injected wolfsbane directly into her system and had to come through the window to do it. If that had not happened, I am sure Izzy would still be here fighting." It was funny that even though some of us were annoyed at Izzy's attitude about our mates, we respected her and were protective of her. I mean no one could not like her attitude. She turned our own people against us. When I am examining the bodies, I feel a sudden fit of anger and see red. My wolf quickly takes over and informs the others,

"Carson is no longer in control. I am his wolf. Our mate, Izzy, is currently furious against her kidnappers and transferring it through the mate bond. This means that Carson is a dangerous person to be around until she calms down." I can see what my wolf is doing, I just have no control. I am so mad and I know my wolf is right. Daniel jokes a little,

"For Carson to be that mad, I sure do not want to be around Izzy right about now." Alex adds,

"Or be the person she was mad at." He shudders at the memory of my furious Izzy. Aiden also says,

"With that amount of anger, I won't be surprised if Izzy finds us before we find her." Christopher comments,

"Her kidnappers are in deep shit."

Isabella's P.O.V

*About when the Alphas get to the house*

I woke up in a cell with silver cuffs around my hands and feet. At first, I was confused, but the memories came rushing back to me. I ask Belle, my wolf,

"Who long was I out?" She replies,

"Only an hour. They put wolfsbane in your system but I've burnt it all out of you and the other through the pack link."  I broke off the connection and looked around my cell. It was dark, but I could vaguely make out five other shapes in the cell with me. I ask,

"Who's there?" Elina was the one who answered me,

"It's us."

"I am happy you're alright."

"Yeah, me too. Can you explain what happened last night? I just remember going to sleep and waking up here."

"We were kidnapped. I killed some of them, but there were too many." I hear Emma's voice in the dark,

"I killed one too." I was pleasantly surprised,

"Really! Good job!" At that, a door opened and light came into the room. I winced at the brightness, but got used to it fast to observe the new intruder. He let out a deep chuckle. I already hated him. He spoke,

"So you are the famous Lunas, huh?" I answered cheekily,

"So you are the famous son of a bitch, huh?"

"My spies did not exaggerate your courage. You are kidnapped, yet you remain strong."

"I am pissed off. You do not know who you are messing with!"

"I do, you are the long awaited white wolves and the bloodthirsty Alphas' only weakness." I was surprised at how accurate his information was, but I didn't show it. I decide to play along.

"I know I am weak, no need to rub it in. What do you want?" Everyone is surprised at my words, but trust me enough to stay quiet.

"What I want is to be the King of the werewolves! For that, I need the Alphas to bow to me. You are the way to achieve that. Also, you being white wolves only increases my prestige."

"Ok, ok. Why us though?" He looks at me confused and smirks,

"I see you are a bit slow. If I have you, I control them. The Alphas want you because you are their mate and because of the prophecy." I decide to act stupid,

"What prophecy?"

"The one that says whoever possesses the white wolves will be powerful beyond imagination." I inwardly smirk. He must have got his information from a second hand source. Well, technically, I possess a white wolf and I am powerful. Suddenly, a rogue rushs in and whispers something to the guy. He tells us,

"I have to go, but I will be back." He leaves and we were once more plunged into darkness. But not before I had gotten a good look at my pack. I could see bruises across their skin. How dare they injure them? I was so mad, I was furious, livid even.

We were in deep shit once again.
