drapetomania- an overwhelming urge to run away

she wanted to run, so that's exactly what she did.

it starts slowly.

barely noticible, with little whispers that she hears from people who say mean things.

then, the people get bolder.

And it turns to open insults, short little words like bullets aimed at her flesh.

fat.

ugly.

worthless.

they are mean, and she pulls into herself, now just bones and scars and a broken heart.

now they are little shoves and "accidental" trips.

she cries, because what did she do to them?

they leave bruises and scars, both physical and mental.

so she runs.

straight into Death's open arms.
