Hey Guys :) So here's chapter two... I hope you like it. I've already written the next few chapters and will probably update soon!

Thanks

Dean POV

"Dean Brother, come on in!" said Benny as I entered his house.

"Sorry I'm late had to make sure Sammy was okay"

"No problem" he smiled be before being dragged off by some blonde haired girl.

I searched the living room to see if there was anyone I knew, well actually I knew almost everyone, but I couldn't find the person I was looking for.

For a second, I had a dizzy spell as the heat of the room was over-whelming. Barging my way through the crowd, I eventually made it outside. The fresh air was such a relief to my skin and face. Once I had settled down a bit, something, or rather someone, caught my eye. Sitting pressed up against the wall, head in a book, was Castiel. I began walking over to him and then slid down the wall beside him.

"Hey Cas, what you reading?"

"The Hobbit" he replied, keeping his head down and continued reading.

Cas' POV

I was just keeping myself to myself, after all I didn't exactly want to be at this party, when Dean came over a tried to have a conversation.

"Hey Cas, what you reading?"

"The Hobbit" I tried to avoid eye-contact, pretending that I was still reading, but how could I read when he was so close. His arm occasionally brushing off mine, sending shivers down my spine.

"Any good?" great he wasn't planning on leaving.

"Y-yes, it's one of my favourites."

"What's it about then?"

I looked up, not realising how close he was, then before I knew it I was lost in his sparkling green eyes. I tried to look away, but it was no use, his eyes were almost magical, bright green with the slightest hint of hazel. They were so-

"Hey Cas you okay there?"

"Yeah, yeah, sorry" I mumbled then looked back down at my book. Smooth Cas, real smooth.

"So what's it about?"

"You really have never heard of it?" I ask astonished.

"I have, just want to hear your take on it" he smirked.

"Well, I find the book to be quite inspirational. That a hobbit, just a hobbit, can lead in such a dangerous adventure, symbolising that we are all capable of extraordinary things, we just have to set our minds to it"

I look back up to find Dean speechless. Nice going, you rambled on again.

"That's incredible" he chuckled, "Very deep, but quite incredible!"

I gave him a weak smile, and for just a moment, our eyes met again. His smile widened, spreading from cheek to cheek.

"What you two love birds getting at?" said a voice interrupting us. I looked away and Dean cleared his throat.

Dean's POV

Cas was so passionate talking about his book. I was speechless, it was actually interesting to listen to, well maybe he was what was interesting. For a moment our eyes met, I was just staring into his vibrant blue eyes, they glistened, almost telling a story of their own. Just then we were interrupted.

"What are you two love birds getting at?"

Immediately Cas looked away trying a hide what I thought was a blush. I cleared my throat before replying.

"Hey Charlie, didn't know you were here" I coughed.

"Ms. Bradbury doesn't miss a party" she winked, "So who's your friend?"

"Charlie this is Castiel, Castiel this is Charlie."

"Nice to meet you Castiel" she said sticking out her hand.

He put down his book, reached over to shake her hand. "You t-too" he stuttered.

"Wait a second are you reading The Hobbit?" Charlie asked while a smile spread across her face.

"Why yes I am. Have you read it before?" Cas replied.

"Only about a million times! It's my favourite book!"

"Yes, it is also one of my favourite, it's a truly remarkable story" I noticed a wide smile upon his face. His smile was contagious.

"Yeah I like you!" Charlie laughed.

Cas smiled and mumbled a thank you.

"Dean, why haven't you introduced me to Cas before?" Charlie said sternly, but she was unable to hide the hint of laughter in her voice.

"Well I only met him today. He's lightening fast as well as a nerd!" I chuckled. While glancing over to him I realised he was blushing very heavily and looking down at his feet.

"What school do you go to Cas?" Charlie asked.

"Well, I'm moving once school starts again, to Sioux Falls"

"No way!" Charlie almost shouted, "That's were me and Dean go!"

Cas looked over to me, almost for confirmation, so I nodded and smiled.

"Oh cool" he said smiling back at me.

"Well I just found this super-hot chick, so see you guys later" Charlie said while slipping a piece of paper with her number into Cas' pocket.

"Bye" Cas said as she began walking away.

"Good luck" I yelled while laughing. "So Cas, want to tell about yourself?"

"I... I umm.... I'm 17, I uh... play soccer, and I read...." He stuttered, "What about you Dean?"

"Well, I'm also 17, I also play soccer, I have a little brother Sam and I love me some pie" I smirked.

He chuckled at my enthusiasm. "You must really care for Sam. Your eyes and smile widen when you talk about him"

"Yeah I do Sherlock" I laughed.

Before he could say anymore his phone buzzed. By his reaction, it wasn't someone he wanted to talk to.

"I must go, sorry, it was nice meeting you Dean" he said while beginning to stand up. I stood up next to him and shook the dirt off my pants.

"It was nice to meet you too Cas" I said sticking my hand out.

As he shook it firmly, his touch sent shivers down my spine. I didn't understand. I only met this guy today but there was just something about him, maybe it was how his eyes glistened when he talked about something he loved, or the way he always blushed at any compliment, or maybe the way his hair sat so perfectly messy on this head. Once our hand parted, I felt a tickly sensation, and I missed the feeling of his warm soft hand gripping mine.

"Until next time" I winked. Immediately he began to uncontrollably blush.

"Until next time" he replied dropping his head as he slowly walked away. After he was out of sight, I realised he had left his book on the floor. I bent down and picked it up. The Hobbit. I slid down the wall and made myself comfortable. The book was old, slightly torn, the pages no longer a clear white, but a dusty brown. I opened the book and began to read.
