Chapter Thirty-Four: Happiest birthday to the love of my life.
GEORGE didn't know where they were going until he seen an unforgettable building. Mindy's diner.
He was home. Lydia had brought him home.
He squeezed her hand and smiled, "you always seem to know exactly what I want even when I don't, Lydia."
Lydia shrugged, glancing at George before looking back at the road," it's nothing really, it's all about what's coming next."
Pulling into George's driveway, Lydia tried to calm her nerves and not make George worried about her. This was all about him. Only him.
She could feel his eyes on her and she relaxed. Leaning in, George pecked her cheek, "whatever you do or did, I'm going to love it. If you're there with me I'll love anything, always."
A smile formed on Lydia's face while her cheeks were burning, "come on let's go in then."
Walking into George's family home was something Lydia became accustomed to. Though unlike all the other times, all George's loved ones were scattered around the house.
Once they all seen Lydia and George enter, they all shouted, "happy birthday."
And just like that Lydia seen a tear of happiness escape George's eyes. "Happy birthday, my love," Lydia whispered.
