Not an eternity
It feels like I'm drowning
Yet I'm craving for rain.
I am staring at the withering flower
Somehow understanding its pain.
Still holding onto false promises
Still believing messages they sent
My innocent heart couldn't decipher
What their forever truly meant.
I stare in the eyes of eternity
And it compels me to see
Begs me to convince myself
That you weren't the one for me.
