SLOANE CROFT smirked as she walked into the living room, looking around at the party going on around her. She still wasn't sure how she was convinced to go to this party on Washington Lodge in the middle of nowhere. But Sloane also knew that she wouldn't have missed this party for the world. Not when it gave her a chance to hang out and terrorize her friends.
Plus, it'd give her the chance to finally ask Josh Washington out.
Don't be mistaken. Sloane never had a problem with guys. She along with her friend, Jess Riley, could easily have any guy they wanted. But Josh was different from all of those other idiots she had slept with. He was thoughtful and probably one of the biggest movie nerds Sloane had ever met. It probably had to do with the fact that his father was some movie mogul.
Sloane didn't have a lot of friends due to her less than friendly approach on things. But Josh managed to see a different side of Sloane, the real her. He was one of the few people who could actually tolerate the bitchy blonde.
"Glad to see that Barbie finally decided to show up," Mike Munroe remarked and Sloane sent him a small yet venomous smile.
The two were friends, sort of. They had hooked up shortly before he made things serious with her other friend, Emily Davis, and Sloane would be lying if she said it hadn't hurt. Emily didn't know a thing about it and Sloane preferred to keep it that way. She realized that it was going to be something more if she even bothered to try and do anything about it.
"You know I have to be fashionably late," Sloane shot back.
"About time you showed up, Sloane. We were just playing spin the bottle," Jess replied as she scooted over to the side to let Sloane sit on the ground beside her.
