Fryer who was just on the phone with the council's head was on his way to the guest house to talk to Elena. Since Elestren has been staying with Jaden for the past week since Elena lashed out on her, Elena has been living in the guest house alone. The two haven't talked since then although Elestren did cook food three times a day for Elena and sent it to her through someone.
It was nine in the afternoon and Fryer wasn't sure if Elena was awake but still went there himself to tell her the news. The council has allowed her to stay in the pack as long as she can—though she can't become the part of the pack.
Just when Fryer had almost reached the house, he noticed Elena sneaking out into the forest. He had to double-take to make sure it really was her. If it was a human, he would have missed her but thanks to Fryer's enhanced senses he was easily able to see her. Wondering what she was up to, he started to follow after her.
Halfway through the way, he lost sight of her. Aggressively looking around, he walked forward when out of nowhere, a hand grabbed him and pulled him against a tree while covering his mouth. He was about to kill whoever this person was when he saw Elena's face.
"Shh..." She whispered, "Stay quiet!" She looked around as if to see if someone saw them.
"What are you doing here?" Fryer asked her in a harsh whisper.
Elena raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smirk on her face. "Why not I show you instead of telling. It's not like you would believe my words,"
"Show me what?"
Elena grabbed his hand and started to walked again, pulling him along with her. "Just keep quiet!"
Freyer silently followed her while he stared at their interlinked hands. After a few minutes, Fryers felt the presence of someone near. Elena once again hid behind a tree pulling him along with her. She gestured him to look forward while keeping his silence. They were near the border so he wasn't sure what someone was doing here until he saw them.
Kathrine! It was his pack member but what was she doing here?
She was holding her cheek as if she had just been slapped. There was another man here who was looking at her in anger.
