I've read a few Wattpad stories and I thought that it would be cool to write my own. This is my first time writing so I have no clue about the risks about writing on here. Criticism is accepted as long as it's not plain insulting my writing. If you'd like to help me learn to be a better writer do tell me!
I walked away from the cafeteria pained, this was my sixth rejection in the past three days. I don't know how I did it. I had had a thing for each girl for quite a while now.
"It's alright dude, you were slow and she just got asked out first. She didn't say 'no'; she was just going with someone else," My bro Pierce said to me, patting me on the back. "There's still a while until prom, so don't sweat it"
"Yeah but I just exhausted my list of possible girls. I even asked the girls I wasn't that close with" I said with a sigh, disappointed in myself.
"Don't worry. I'll help you find someone. I promise." he said, looking at me with his hand on my shoulder.
"I have a couple girls in mind, just keep your cool. What about Marissa K.?" Pierce said, putting his hand on his chin, "I heard her say 'That Lei guy is pretty cute', I bet she'd go with you to prom."
"One step ahead of you bro, she's going with Wes." I didn't have any options left really, I guess I was going to just have to go solo.
"Bummer man, oh well. Hey, Ned's party is tonight, I'm sure you'll meet someone there! I heard that literally everyone is invited," Pierce waved his hand over the crowd of students in the cafeteria "There's a girl in there just for you."
"Psh," I scolded "Yeah, find a girl in a few days? What do I look like? Jacob Walker? I'm not going to that party, you know what happened last time I went to a big party like that." I said, remembering all the bad memories as I walked backwards away from him.
"Seeya in a bit Pierce, meet me at my locker after lunch."
"Dude we always meet at your locker, what about mine?" Pierce whined
"Yours is next to mine!!!"
"But I like the title." he said, making a fake frown.
"Too bad sucker! Peace!!" I spun around and bounded forward to collide head on with someone, tumbling to the floor in a mess of books, papers, and what looked like a chocolate milk. I landed on my back, my head landing on the cold floor.
"AGH! Nononononono noooo please no!" A frantic voice yelled to the right. I rubbed the back of my head wincing at the bump that was slowly forming.
"Please work! I'll love you forever!" A girl sobbed as she held together what looked like a now destroyed tiny laptop.
"YOU!" She screamed, spinning around in a rage and shoving her index finger into my face.
"This is your fault!"
"Woah woah woah I'm so so so sorry!" I cried frantically putting my hands up to defend against the five foot demon raking at my face.
"Calm down, calm down, calm down!"
I got up frantically and picked up as much of her stuff I could. I saw Pierce give me the thumbs up and laugh as he walked towards our table of friends. I turned back to see an angry bundle of messy black hair staring at me. She raised a broken tiny netbook up to my face.
"Do you have any clue what is on this?!" She said angrily. She began to break down and stared at the floor.
"My final history research essay for Ms. Novcick is on there!" She slumped against the wall and slid to the floor.
"That was a gift from my dad." She choked up and began to sob. I looked down at her awkwardly.
"Look, uh-," I stuttered as I tried to remember her name from Ms Novcick's class, but couldn't recall. She always sat away from everyone in the front, taking notes studiously and always scoring top in the class.
"I'm really sorry about what I did. I promise I'll make it up to you."
"Well then we will get started right away." she said picking up the cracked netbook, wiping away at her eyes.
"Uh, we? On what?" I quickly realized the mistake I made.
"Lei right? Well meet me after school in the library. We got a history essay to write." She turned and walked away without another word. I stood there dumbfounded.
Thanks for reading the first part! I hope you liked it! This is a little snippit of what I have in mind for the story. I know that this is pretty short, but If you guys like it I'll make more parts and make 'em longer!
