Welcome home

Ashtyn's P.O.V:

Mom dealt with the paperwork and came and brought us to the car. I got in and sat next to Oliver. He put his arm around me and held me close to him. I wrapped my arms around him and said, "We're finally home." Oliver just nodded and looked at mom.

The trip home was short. As we got out of the car, the driver tied to grab our bags. Oliver walked over and said, "I got them." I waited until he had both of our bags in hand before I walked to the house.

Mom opened the door and said, "Your rooms are exactly as you left them. I never had the heart to change a thing." A black man came up to us and said, "Oliver, Ashtyn! It's damn good to see you." Both of us gave him a confused face before the man said, "It's Walter. Walter Steel." Walter said.

Mom looked at us and said, "You remember Walter. Your father's friend from the company." Mom said. Oliver glanced at me and slightly shook my head. We looked over and saw Raza. I walked over and hugged her.

"It's good to see you, Raza," Oliver said. "Welcome home Mr. Oliver and Miss Ashtyn," Raza said. Then she looked at mom and said, "Mr. Merlin phoned. He wants to join you for dinner." Mom smiled and said, "Wonderful."

Just then we heard a door close. "Oliver? Ashtyn? Did you hear that?" Mom asked. My head snapped towards the stairs just as Thea walked down. "I knew it!! I knew you were alive!" Thea said as soon as she saw us.

"I missed you so much." She said as she pulled both of us into a hug. I gently disconnected myself from the hug and asked, "May I go to my room? I'm really tired." Mom nodded and I grabbed the bag that Ollie had left by the door.

I didn't go lay down like I said I was going to. There was a knock on the door. I looked at Oliver and hugged myself. "Are you okay?" Ollie asked. I shook my head and looked down. "It doesn't seem real. I don't feel like I'm home." I said.
