I stood in the living room waiting for Scarlett.
“Is she ok?” Harry asked from the couch.
I nodded slightly, not really listening.
“What are you doing for the afternoon?” He asked.
“We’re going to watch a movie.” Scarlett said from behind me. I turned around. She stood there a smile playing on her face. She was wearing black skinny jeans and a big white jumper, that carefully hid her new scars. She wasn’t wearing any make up but she looked beautiful.
“Let’s go.” She said walking to the door. I followed her outside into the cold. My breath floated around my face and I held her hand, feeling brave.
I looked up at Zayn’s dark brown eyes. His warm hand held mine as we walked down the street. It felt perfect.
“So what movie do you want to watch?” I asked walking along the frozen footpath towards the cinema.
“I don’t know. Do you have anything you want to watch?” He asked looking at me.
“Um. I think there is a re run of some movie. It’s on the tip of my tongue.” I said trying to remember. “I think I read it somewhere. I heard it was a really good movie.”
“Titanic?” Zayn asked.
“No.” I shook my head.
“Is it Facing the Giants?” He guessed.
“Yes! That’s it. How did you know?” I asked.
Zayn pointed up at the movie posters on the cinema window.
“Oh. That was a good idea.” I said blushing.
“Do you want to see it?” He asked as we walked into the warm building.
“Yeah. It looks good. Have you seen it before?” I asked. He nodded.
“Lets watch it then.”
“That was a good movie.” I said walking out of the cinema. It was about six at night and we walked home in the early evening light.
“Yeah. How’s your arm?” Zayn asked. I pulled up my sleeve and looked down at my arm.
The blood had dried across the stitches but luckily hadn’t stained my jumper.
“Hey Zayn!” Someone called from down the street and Zayn turned around, still holding my hand.
A guy was standing at the corner of the street waving.
“Matt!” He called, walking down the road.
“Man I haven’t seen you in so long.” Matt gave Zayn a hug and looked over at me, grinning.
“And who is this?” He asked.
“This is Scarlett.” Zayn said, also looking at me.
I gave Matt a shy smile.
“Hey.” He grinned.
“What are you doing out here?” Zayn asked as we all kept walking back to the house.
“I came to see you actually. But I would have thought you would be surrounded with paps?” Matt said.
“Yeah.” Zayn looked down at his phone.
“Well, we’re having this big party tomorrow night and I was wondering if you wanted to come join us?”
Zayn looked over at me.
“Only if Scarlett can come as well.”
“I actually have to go sort some stuff out. But I’ll see you two tomorrow at my house yeah?” Matt said stopping next to his car.
“Sounds good.” Zayn replied and Matt got in his car.
“See you tomorrow.”
