Sorry about the wait. I started this book while I was away and I just got back!
Here is the awaited chapter ~
"I don't know what I'm going to do Tina!" I exclaimed, I didn't know what I was going to... I couldn't pay for all the electricity bills, food, the rent, all Violet's medication and check-up bills... I can't afford anything. Mum barely has anything in savings.
"I know... You and Vi can move in with me!" She declared. "I'm sure my dad would be cool with that..."
"I can't ask you to do that, you've already done too much."
"Estell Jade Summer Jordan, you are going to take that offer even if I have to drag you there myself!"
"Christina Maria Holland, your flat isn't big enough and you don't even know if we are allowed!" I replied in the same tone.
"Estell Jade S-"
"Tina! Just get to the point!" I interrupted.
"Okay, okay... well-" She cut herself off. "Well- yeah that's a pretty good point..."
"Tina!" I groaned.
"Uggh! Just take the offer and I'll ask my dad as soon as I see him, he went to Bently for the night."
"So you are probably planing on spending the night here, right?"
"Surprise!" Oh, Tina.
My Dad has to travel for work a lot. He works for a painting company. It doesn't pay too much, because of all the competition... But, we have an apartment, running water, heat, electricity... All the necessities.
Of course I miss him when he's gone, but I have learned that l'm now a grown up. I shouldn't need my Dad any more. I am freaking 18 for God's sake! Stell and I will be going to Uni in the fall and need to start preparing myself for it because my Dad won't be there.
When I was growing up, Stell and my Dad, Ben, were all I had. Amber, Stell's Mum, was the mum I never had. Vi was also my baby sister and I loved her to death, but I needed to accept my age and get my act together. I have been pretending this whole time like I was still 14. I never wanted to grow up and leave home. Life is too short, and going to University just types it out in big red letters for you.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! "Holy shit! What time is it?" I shrieked. 9:45 am. Crap. We have to be at the hospital in 15 minutes to get Vi. BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BE- "Stell.." I groaned. BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! "Stell! How do you turn the damn thing of!!" I yelled while I chucked a random marble I found lying the floor at the radio/alarm clock. She just laughed.
"You hit the 'off ' button dumbarse!" She chuckled.
"Well how am I supposed to know, smarty pants?!" I replied feeling a bit stupid after her statement.
"Any person of average intelligence should have the decency to hit the big red button that says 'off ' before they chuck a marble at my alarm clock."
"Vi!" Estell squealed at her younger sister.
"Stelly!" She squealed back.
"How are you feeling? I missed you soooooo much!"
"Stell I'm fine. And you saw me yesterday!" She replied, giggling at her older sister.
"I know.. my brave little soldier!" I said, ruffling her hair.
"Stell!" Vi groaned.
"I'm sorry. I am just so happy you're coming home!"
"Well I'll go get you signed out and Ti, if you could go get the nurse so Vi can change into the clothes I brought her that would help." She said eyeing me.
"Sure thang, darlin'." I winked at her while waltzing out of the room.
"You're coming back, right?" Vi asked.
"Yup, I'll be right back!" I chirped.
Vi yawned "I'm tired." She said groggily.
"Well then, I'll come tuck you into bed and then Tina and I will have some lunch?" I said looking at Tina and then at my stomach as it grumbled. "Are you hungry?" I asked Violet.
"No..." She replied, yawning again.
So my lil' cheese cubes! [@purplehorse12 's idea] XP Don't ask me where she got it from!
The next chapter is going to be the concert! ARE YOU AS EXCITED AS ME?
