My name is Kayla. I'm 15. I have a boyfriend named Nick. And I love, I mean LOVE, One Direction.
In a few weeks is my birthday. And the only thing I'm hoping for is front row One Direction concert tickets.
I've even been doing a lot of extra chores and doing little jobs here and there to make a few dollars.
"It's my birthdayyyyy!" I yelled as I ran down the stairs taking them two at a time.
My mom and my little brother Booger giggled.
Okay, so his name isn't actually Booger, it's Ben, but I've been calling him Booger for as long as I can remember.
My mom placed a large plate of delicious looking strawberry pancakes with egg and bacon on the side, and my ultimate favorite, strawberry milk.
I suddenly realized how hungry I was, as my stomach growled.
I dug into the pancakes first, admiring my mom's insane cooking skills.
As I looked up from my forkful of egg, my mom slowly pushed a huge box towards me.
My smile faded. I didn't want a big present. When the box reached my side, I pulled at the ribbon without enthusiasm.
Once I got the wrapping paper off, I opened the box to reveal a smaller one.
Jeez, what is this, a game? It was frustrating me.
I pulled it out and chucked it on the table. I took my time unwrapping the darned thing.
Finally, as I peered inside.. It was empty.
What the hell? I looked at my mother with a puzzled look on my face and she giggled her cute little giggle that made her look like a teenage girl.
I picked up the box and shook it. Something in it rattled, so I tore the box, and out fluttered an envelope.
"Great, so she got me a gift card" I thought sarcastically.
I opened the envelope marked "Kayla Kat" (my childhood nickname) and inside were the most beautiful pieces of paper I had ever seen. Two front row One Direction tickets.
I smiled big and thought to myself, "One Direction, here I come."
