I wake up with a horrible headache and bile rising up my throat. The side of my head hurts worse than the rest of it, so I put a light hand over my temple and groan groggily. I slowly open my eyes and regret it when the lights almost make me go blind.
There's people around me, telling each other to shut up for my sake, and I know I'm not abducted by aliens, but I'm somewhere with the squad. I rub my eyes and slowly sit up as my eyes are still adjusting to the lights.
Memories of last night come crashing to me and I feel dizzy again. What the heck happened last night? Who was that madman with the deep voice? Why did he knock me out? What did he mean by I don't know anything about my family? All these questions make my head spin more, so I pretty much rush to the bathroom across from the bed and throw up.
Someone holds my hair back for me, and I immediately know it's Alex. Once I'm done hurling out all the contents I've consumed, I wash my mouth and collapse to the bathroom floor and land on my behind. Alex crouches next to me and rubs my back to calm me down. "Are you okay?" He asks, and that question triggers my memories from the third floor, and I start crying.
I put my hands over my face and sob violently, and Alex doesn't ask questions. He just pulls me against his chest and rubs my back continuously as I relieve myself from the tears.
"Is she okay?" I hear Zack ask from somewhere around us, and tell myself to stop crying. Alex doesn't reply, but I feel him shrug his shoulders. "Should we call Dylan?" He asks, not knowing what to do.
"No!" I exclaim through a blurry vision, "I don't want him to see me like this," I say, hiccuping and wiping my eyes hastily. My legs are shaking as I get up. I wash my face, all my makeup coming undone. I look at myself in the mirror and watch a zombie stare back at me.
"I'll get you water," Alex says once I'm out the bathroom, still sniffling a bit. "I'll be quick, and I'll tell the boys that you're awake." Zack nods and leads me to sit on the bed.
"In case you're wondering, we're still at Brian's house," Zack tells me. I notice he's out of his costume, and so was Alex. I'm not wearing my boots either and my hair has lost its bouncy curls. "Are you okay?" Zack asks gently, sitting next to me.
