"Oh shit," I say to myself as I notice that I was going to be late for my first day as a junior. I quickly hop out of my bed and make my way to the bathroom. I gaze at my reflection and slighty smile. I run some water and make my way in the shower. After about ten minutes, I get out and race to my closet.
"No. No. Not this. Ugly. UGH!" I say to myself as I go through my clothes. I don't know what to wear. Suddenly there's a knock on my door.
"Who is it?!" I yell.
My mom comes in. "I thought this outfit would be cute." She smiles at me. I stare wide eyed at the outfit and grin.
"Mom, you're a life saver!"
"Don't mention it. Now hurry up or you're going to be late."
I blow my mom a kiss and she makes her way out of my room, so I can slip on the outfit she brought me. It is a black lace top and black sweater, with a slim, purple, tube skirt, and a pair of black wedges. I take my hair out of it's messy bun and begin to curl the ends. Fifteen minutes and a shit load of hair spray finally paid off. With a little touch of light make-up and a last look in the mirror, I am ready to start my day.
"LIYLAH! Over here!" I hear a voice call. I look all around, with no sign of the person calling my name. "LIYLAH!" I hear the person shout again. I look around and finally notice who it is.
"Joslynn!" I smile. She runs over and embraces me. I haven't seen her all summer, so I embrace her too.
"I missed you sooo much! I haven't seen you since the last day of school. That break up hit you hard." She says.
I sigh. "Yeah, I know, but it's ok."
"Anyways, what class do you have first?", asks Joslynn. I take her sceduale and she takes mine. We compare them. "This is crap." Joslynn mumbles.
We have no classes together. I sigh. After ranting about how unfair our sceduales were, the bell rang. We both gave each other a hug and air kisses and made our way to our classes. My first class is English.
Since I was the first one in class, I chose my seat. I sit two rows away from the teacher. Seconds later everyone else starts to pour in the class. I smile as I was greated by classmates. It was a great feeling, until suddenly my binder is knocked off my desk. I look up and noticed Kayleana towering over me.
"Oops. Didn't me for THAT to happen." she says, grinning at me.
"Still being a bitch?" I ask.
"Still being a freak?" she says back. I roll my eyes and slowly begin to pick my binder off of the ground.
"I'd rather be that than a whore." I snap back at her, anger evident in her eyes, she walks away without another word.
"Everyone take your seats and turn to page 3 in your language books." Mrs. Coleman starts to say, when suddenly there is a knock on the door. "Come in!" Mrs. Coleman yells from her desk.
The door quietly creeps open. He slowly makes his way into the classroom up to the teachers desk. They talked for a few minutes and the teacher stands up.
"Alright class. This is Andrew Clendmount. Please welcome him with open arms, he is new here and I don't want him to feel out of place." Everyone studies him and then 'Hi's and 'Hello's fill the room.
I look over at him. I can't help but notice his black hair, that reaches his shoulders, his pale, but not too pale skin, or his light blue eyes. My heart melts. I try to look away but I get lost in the moment.
"Take a seat next to Liylah D'lous." My English teacher says, pointing to the seat next to mine.
My heart stops as I snap back into reality. The new kid, is sitting next me, and I don't even know his name.
Chapter one was a little short, but the next chapters should be longer. c:
