"Flight 205 to Los Angele's, California has just arrived." The lady on the loud speaker announced.

I grabbed my two suitcases and my journal and headed off to the gates. I got on the plane I put my suitcases up in the overhead thing and I sat down in my seat. I pulled out my journal and began writing.

Dear Diary~

I know I haven't been writing in here that much, I'll start back up soon I promise. Anyways I'm getting shipped off all the way across the country to live with my grandmother in California. Ever since I discovered that my mom had cancer it ripped me up inside. I was currently living in Manhattan, New York fine and well but no this happened. Well I gotta go now.

Signing off for now,

Stacey D.

I marked off on the page and closed my journal. I pulled out my iPod and put in my earphones. I began listening to 'It Will Rain' by Bruno Mars. Just as I looked out of the window I saw the plane moving off the runway and up into the air. This is gonna be a long ride. I dozed off looking at the clouds in the sky.

-7 Hours Later-

I woke up when the lady on the loud speaker said,

"We've arrived in Los Angele's, California. We hope you enjoy you stay and thank you for choosing Delta airlines."

I rose out of my seat lazily and got my things out of the overhead and headed off the plane with everyone else. I walked around LAX airport in search of my grandma whose supposed to be picking me up, until I heard my name being called. I turned around and say my grandmother rushing over to me. I dropped my bags and then she engulfed me into a huge hug.

"Hey Stacey, it's been so long since I last seen you, you were a short little eight year old." She said, I smiled at the memory of my family visiting grandma every summer or holiday.

"You've heard about mom's condition?" I asked. She nodded her head in sadness, she put her hand on my shoulder.

"Oh honey I know you must heartbroken." She said. I shook my head.

"I am, but let's not talk about that now." I said, I grabbed my bags and my journal and we headed out.

Then ride to her house was silent. Every now and again I could feel her take her eyes off the road and glance at me. I just kept and eyes out the window. When we got to her house I got that modern feel of the area like I always do when I'm here. My grandma may be old fashioned but she has nice things. As we walked into the house she showed me up to my mothers bedroom because I can't use my old one anymore, grandma uses it as her art galley of some sort. I sat my suitcases on my bed and began to unpack.

As I began to put things in the closet, I glanced out of the window and saw four boys in the backyard playing basketball. One with braids, one with a Mohawk, one wearing a snapback, and the last one had and Afro. I gotta admit the one with the Afro is kinda cute. I guess they noticed me looking 'cause they stopped what they were doing and looked up at me. I moved out of sight and finished putting up my clothes.

"STACEY!" I heard my grandma yell.

"Yeah?" I shouted back.

"Come here there's someone I want you to meet!" She shouted back. I shut my closet door and went downstairs. I saw a girl sitting on the couch. She wore something like this-

"Whose this?" I said referring to the girl.

"Oh, I'm Quinn and you must be Stacey. Your grandma talks about you all the time." I just nodded.

"Why don't you two take a tour of LA get to know each other better." Grandma suggested.

"Sounds nice," I began. "Just let me go get changed." I said while rushing upstairs. I picked out a simple but cute outfit. It looks like this-

I tied my hair up into a bun and headed back downstairs. I put on my sunglasses and we headed out. As we were walking to Quinn's car someone stopped us.

"Aye, wait!" The voice began. "I couldn't help but notice you were staring at me." It was the boy with the Afro. Quinn scoffed.

"Prince please, she wasn't staring at you."

"And how would you know Quills?" Prince said, mocking her voice.

"It's Quinn. Learn this, no one will ever like you!" Quinn stated. Prince moved close to me and whispered in my ear.

"Whenever you wanna ditch the buzz-kill, I'm available." His voice sent shivers down my spine. He moved back and went back over to his friends and Quinn dragged me away towards the car. We got in and drove off. As I felt around in my pockets for my phone, all I found was a folded up piece of paper that says-

323-319-6060

Call Me~ Prince.

I blushed and smiled to myself at the thought of it.
