I tapped on the hard table so loud that it was causing people to stare. Ed had said he would be here in 10 minutes half an hour ago. I had been sitting there for an hour and half. I must really like this guy. I had to get up fairly early the next morning and if he didn't come soon, I would have to leave.

But we all knew that I wouldn't leave.

"Could you possible drive any faster?" The bitter words kept tumbling out of my mouth. I didn't mean to be rude, but I had to get there soon.

Traffic in LA at night was under-estimated, it was horrible. Maybe because I was pretty far in the thick of night life but I had to get to Westchester.

"I'm trying as hard as I can man." The old man apologised.

I immediately felt bad, he was just doing his job trying to make some money and I wasn't helping the circumstances.

"Sorry mate, I'm just in a hurry."

"Aren't we all." He muttered.

The light turned green, the man punched the pedal down and we sped off.

I sat back in my seat and breathed.

I'm calm, I'm calm, I'm calm I thought to myself.

I watched as the buildings flew by and the lights flickered around them.

All I could think about was her.

She consumed me so much it hurt.

I didn't even know this girl and she had me.

She would always have me.

The tapping continued. And continued.. and continuted. It had been 10 more minutes and still no show. The restaurant was starting to close as was my patience. I seriously had to go to sleep. It was 10:30 and I had to be up pretty soon.

Just like in the movies I looked up slowly and saw flamming red hair getting out of a cab.

It was him.

He handed the cabbie money and patted the roof of the car thanking the man.

He walked in, his hair toussled. He had on a blue Captain America shirt, his usual necklace and a pair of jeans. Opening the door he entered the restuarant and looked around for me.

My eyes met his and I grinned from ear to ear. I gestured for him to come over. He rapidly sat down and stared at me.

"Hi." I breathed.

She smiled. "Hi back."

"Sorry I was late." I apologised. "No one told me how awful traffic was here."
