After what felt like days of sitting on the sofa discussing what we did Lola and I where finally allowed to leave.
We went for a walk.
"Well, that was fun." I said giving a small laugh.
"That's one word for it." She says laughing as well.
"What do you think is going to happen?" I ask, looking forward. It was dark outside so I could only see the outline of things that were near the lamppost.
"I have no clue." Lola said sounding frustrated, "I have missed it here." She said after a moment.
"I know what you mean. I didn't miss it until I got back as well."
We had been walking in silence for ten minutes. Both of us lost in our own thoughts.
I was thinking about all the fun times I have had here growing up and also all of the embarrassing times. One stood out most in my memory.
I was sitting in Art class about to doze off when I heard this bang from behind me. I was so shocked that I sat up so quickly only to bump into the teacher who was standing beside me. She had a bucket of paint in her hand until I had bumped into her. Now it was all down me.
I stood up and ran for the door not caring about everyone shouting my name behind me.
When I got to the door I opened it only to have a bucket of water land on me as well. Looking up I saw the janitor who always brought in a fresh bucket of water to clean the supplies with.
Everyone burst out laughing of course. I only ran faster toward the girl toilets. Once there I took my white shirt off. Yes, I had decided to wear a white shirt that day.
When I held it up I could see that the water had only made things worse as the paint had been made even runnier.
I cursed for the next minute without taking a breath. Then Jane came in.
Clearly, she had followed me from class.
She helped me dry the shirt off with the hand dryer a bit. I also tried to dry my hair a bit as well.
Once we came out everyone was looking at me trying very hard not the laugh. I had paint in my hair, so now it was blue, my shirt had become see-through so you could see my bra, and my jeans gladly were just wet with no paint on them.
No one laughed at me the rest of the day. They obviously wanted to but for some reason didn't.
It wasn't until I got to Jane's car, where Andrew was standing, that someone laughed.
When Andrew noticed me he laughed his ass off. He didn't even try and hide it. After a minute of being taken back, I laughed as well.
On our way back to the house we talked about what we have been up to lately.
Lola wasn't too happy to find out I had ruined the reputation that she had built for me within a few days of getting here. She also wasn't happy to hear about me and Andrew.
I, on the other hand, was happy to hear about what she had done since she went back to live with dad, she was going out with John.
When we got home we were told that we needed to go to bed because they needed to discuss some things.
