I awoke later that day feeling extremely sore. I sat up and tried to remember what happened. I looked around, hoping my surroundings would give me a clue. Hmm…I appeared to be in a… a clearing? I looked around some more. Finally, my eyes reached StarDancer. I quickly scrambled to my feet. I felt dizzy, but I didn’t care. I rushed to the spot where Star lied. “Star?” I shook her shoulders with my paw. She opened her eyes. “Huh…?” She moaned. “Star. StarDancer, what happened, I can’t remember anything!” Star sat up and shook her head. “I…I don’t know…I can’t remember either…” I sighed in frustration. Then I remembered something important. “Oh, god!” I flashed towards Star. “Star! What time is it!?” Star looked down at the small watch she wore around her front paw, for some reason. “Um…4:00 pm, why?”

I shrieked. “OH, god!” I have to go!” I ran off through the trees. “COVER FOR ME!” I rushed past trees and rocks and animals, searching desperately for Dead Dog’s Canyon. Finally, I spotted it. I gasped in desperation. I spotted LunarDarkness pacing back and forth across the hill. I quickly scrambled up the hill to Lunar’s side. I panted wildly. “I….I’m…Here…” I breathed. Lunar stared at me. I stared into his deep brown eyes and fell silent. I quickly looked away. “So…What did you…Want…To talk about…?” I said, still breathing hard. He tried to smile at my randomness but fought it back, I could tell. He cleared his throat. “I…” He began, but he couldn’t seem to finish, no matter how hard he tried. I cocked my head to the right. “Lunar…?” He swallowed hard. “I…” He tried again. “I… Caramel…?” My breathing slowed. “Yeah…?” He gulped and turned away. I squinted at him. And I heard him mumble something under his breath. I took a step towards him. “Lunar… I…I can’t hear you…” He fiercely turned back to face me, blushing to the extreme. My eyes widened. “Caramel!” He said firmly. I flinched. “I… I’m in…L…” I began to turn red. “Lunar…?” Lunar’s crimson grew darker. He squeezed his eyes shut tight. “I’m… I’m in Love with you.” My face turned a deep shade of plum. “Lunar…” Lunar turned his back to me. My face grew extremely hot, and turned a darker plum. I looked at the ground and shut my eyes. “I love you too, LunarDarkness.”

He turned to face me. I noticed his eyes were watering slightly. My ears went flat against the back of my head. “I want to be with you, Lunar. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you. I’d kill myself for you.” Lunar flinched. I narrowed my eyes. “There’s more… isn’t there?” Lunar sighed and came over to me. “Caramel. I want to be with you. I love you more than anything in the world. But… I can’t be with you.” I sighed with relief. “OH! You mean because we’re from different packs! That doesn’t matter, Lunar! Crescent Light will except you in our pack if you prove yourself to her!”

                              “Caramel…”

“It’ll be ok, Lunar! There’s nothing that can stand between us!”

                          “Caramel.”

“I will always love you, and nothing can stop that! Trust me, Crescent will except you. She has no reason not to!”

                            “CARAMEL.”

                   “What? What is it?”

Lunar paused. “I… I’m a Medical Apprentice.” I frowned. “What’s so bad about that?” Lunar swallowed. “I’m an Apprentice.” I leaned forward as if to say “AND?” He sighed. “An Apprentice…Can’t…” I waited. “Uh…An Apprentice can’t fall in love.”
