I woke up in my bed. Not really sure how that happened.... I looked over at my clock and it was 4 p.m already! jeeez, I must of been sleeping for a while. I finally decided to get up and take shower. I had only walked a few steps, and the headache hit. Hard. I dropped to my knees and put my head between them. I took a few deep breaths and tried walking again. It didn't work. I quickly staggered over to my desk chair and barely made it on the seat. I figured a shower was out of the question, since standing wasn't an option. So I just crawled back over to my bead and fell asleep again..
I woke up, again. Checked the time; 7 p.m! holy crap, that party last night took it ALL out of me.
Remembering how horribly walking ended up the first time, I took a couple more minutes to lay there and try to get my vision clear. I must of drank more than 4 glasses of the 'fruit punch' unless the vodka was stronger than i thought.
I really wanted a shower, so i got up; slowly. I only tripped once. Over my own feet. I finally got to the bathroom and started the water. I took off my clothes and put my robe on so i could brush my hair.
"EEEK!" I shrieked as I looked at myself in the mirror.
I looked like a raccoon on steroids! There were large, dark makeup circles under my eyes and my eyes themselves were bloodshot and red. My lips were dry and cracked, that was really rare. I always had chapstick on me. I finished my hair and stepped into the shower. The warm water felt good on my cold skin. I washed my hair and scrubbed my face. I got out and felt much better.
I went into my room and pulled on some black soffee shorts and a t-shirt from dance. I threw my dirty blonde hair up in a messy bun and checked myself in the mirror before I went downstairs. Wanted to make sure I looked like I DIDN'T get drunk last night.
The second I got down the stairs I heard, "Well doesn't Rosie look like she had a rough night?" come out of my 11 year old sister, Violet's, mouth.
My dad whistled and I blushed. I grabbed a peach out of the fruit bowl and sat at the table.
"How was the party?" he asked.
"It was amazing actually, Jackie and her friends are so cool," I answered without actually looking in his eyes.
Being drunk didn't bother me anymore, but I knew it would kill my dad.
"That's nice, but that's not exactly what i meant," he said with a weird look on his face.
Before I could defend myself, Violet started laughing, "Zaaaaaachhh, I bet you guys kissed. Ooooooooohhhhh, young love," she cooed with a bat of her eye lashes.
My dad and I cracked up! I didn't even have time to blush. The way she said it was just so funny. Then I heard a knock at the door.
"I'll get it!" Violet screamed as she ran over to the door.
She opened it and her eyes got wide. She shut the door a little more so I couldn't see who it was. It was probably one of her little friends talking about their 6th grade "relationships".
Then I heard, "Well hello Zach, haven't seen you in a while. Rosie was just telling us about her night and all the details on your guys'...."
I ran over to the door and shoved my hand over her mouth before she totally embarrassed me. I swiftly picked her up and carried over to the steps and said in a stern voice, "stay!"
As I ran back to the door I could hear my mom and dad laughing in the kitchen. When I got to the door, I saw a smile on Zach's face. Like he was trying not to laugh.
"She is not funny," I said as I placed my hands on my hips and popped one out.
"Are you kidding Rose? I love her, she is so.."
"If you love me, don't say funny next," I said, giving him a look.
"...entertaining." he finished with.
I couldn't help but laugh at the confused look on his face.
"Just kidding Zach!" I said giving him a big hug.
I brought him in the house and we yelled a hello and we're going upstairs to my parents. I smiled as we ran hand in hand up the steps.
***LOL gotta love violet :) that's really all I have to say so byyyye!! XOXO***
