A/N: Guys I didn't feel like writing a part for when they wake up and stuff so we're jumping right into the scene. Currently Miles and Mercedes are getting out the car for school.
Mercedes POV So are we not gonna talk about the fact that this boy actually owns a Mercedes. That reminds me I need to get a Tesla. Mommy issues really had me focusing on the wrong things.
Walking into this hell, was like doing a run way. You gotta make sure you don't mess up because you know you'll be embarrassed for eternity. I have to stunt on these hoes like Megan Thee Stallion.
'Round here it's drip or drown. And right now. I'm drippin' with water like I just came out the shower.
But let me tell you sis, these girls are really pressed because I beat up their queen bee. Giving me dirty looks and all of that. Where I'm from, those dirty looks would've got them dragged. Pregnant and all.
"Mercedes? Do you want to go to swimming at the creek with my friends and me?" Miles says adjusting his glasses. Y'all, I know swimming in a creek is a little weird but it really do be fun though and the creek is clean. Snake free.
"Yeah, what time?" I say waiting outside our first class. Miles shrugs, "Like 4:00? We're all gonna be setting the stuff up before then. They're bringing their girlfriends and everything." He says.
"Mhm, well where will it be?" I say scrolling through Instagram. "24 Byler St, then turn on Avenue road." Miles says giving that little Debby Ryan smirk. "Yeah okay, I'll be there. Do you want me to bring anything?" I said clicking my phone off.
"Yourself, that's it. Let the men do the work while the beautiful women don't ruin their hair. Got to keep them out of danger." Miles says flexing his muscles.
"I can't with you." I said putting my hand up and walking into the classroom, taking my normal seat. "But Mercedes-" Miles says getting cut off by Jaxson. "bUt MeRcEdEs!"
"My god..oh hey Jaxon!" I said with fake enthusiasm. It's not that I don't like his friends it's just that they crack jokes way too much. That's why I call him 'Crack Jokes Jones'.
"Hey Merc, so I overheard that you were coming to the little get together." Jaxson says smirking, nudging Miles a little. "Boy please, it's more like you eavesdropped. But if it must concern you, yes I am." I say with a little sass.
Jaxson covers his heart with his hand and faked being hurt. "Damn, you're such a mean person." He says pouting. "Yeah sure." I said waving him off. "Alright class! Let's begin shall we?" Ms Dallas says.
*TIME SKIP BABYYY*
"Alright, 4:00 sharp! Don't be late Merc!" Miles says speeding away from the house. Lord, bless his heart. I shake my head and take the keys and unlock the door. I sit my stuff down and grab my car keys. I need a bathing suit and I'm going to Walmart to get one.
*TIME SKIP AGAIN, GET IN LOSER!*
That took way longer than expected. 28 minutes left. I run into my temporary bedroom and strip and put my black 2 piece on. I might just have to pull a Debby Ryan myself. I grab my car keys, my phone, and a bag of chips and run to my car.
Yes, I'm driving half naked. Do I look like I'm about to put a shirt on just to get it wet? No ma'am, no ham, no turkey. Jefferson Street, Cleveland Street, yes finally. Byler Street.
Bet, I pull up to the lake...10 minutes late. But that's not the point. I turn the car off and lock my doors. "Hey Miles!" I said walking towards him. He smiles at me and walks me toward the little picnic they set up. It had fairy light, blankets and all that.
"This is actually mad cute." I said looking around. Miles shrugs and scratches his head. "Thanks, but Rain and Monroe are over there so you can go talk to them while I go do something right quick." Miles says pointing to the light skin and dark skin females.
I walk over to them and smile. "Wah gwaan" I say letting my Jamaican accent flow. "How ya doing?" the light skin known as Rain says.
"What it do jit." Monroe says flashing a pretty smile. "Wait let me guess. Rain you're from Jersey and Monroe you're from Florida." I say.
"Fosho."
"Straight."
"Nice to know, so every dude here must love a little chocolate huh." I say laughing a little. "Yes girl, but hey it's good to have another black girl here. No hate towards the Becky's in the back but we love a melanin sister." Monroe says.
"Nah, I understand what you mean. Y'all would probably be the only friends that I have. Besides Jaxson. And Miles." I say looking back at Miles. "Well, we cool with you. You seem good for Miles. Speaking of Miles. You both live together." Rain says smirking a little.
"Uh uh, no. Me and him are not sleeping together. We barely make physical contact. Me and him are just friends." I say keeping my voice low. "Then why you agree to come down here?" Monroe says tilting her head.
"To see him shirtless." Rain says nudging me a little. "No, that's not true. I already have seen him shirtless." I say.
"Ooh la la, somebody wants some d-" Rain says before getting cut off by Leon. "Come on girls!"
"Coming baby!" Monroe says running off. Me and Rain chase her. I see Miles jumping off the mini cliff. "Jump Merc, it's fun." He says floating. "Don't be shy." Rain says smirking. I nod and take a running start. I jumped. The water on my face was cold. I didn't expect it.
I stay under for about 10 seconds. Then I came back up. "Woo! That's what I'm talking about girl!" Rain says before jumping off with Jaxon.
