Episode 9 - Lucky Spoon

   "Kantahan mo ako, boo. Hanggang makatulog ako. Please?" Malamlam ang kanyang mga mata lalo na sa tama ng mapusyaw na ilaw ng lamp shade.

   "Oh sige. Anong gusto mong kanta?" Nakangiting tanong ko.

   "Ikaw na ang bahala." Ngayon ay nakapikit nang sabi niya.

   Mabilis naman akong nakaisip ng kanta at nagsimula matapos kong kuhanin ang gitara.

   Napangiti ako nang may sumilay na ngiti sa kanyang labi oras na marinig niya ang pagtipa ko sa gitara.

Samson went back to bed
Not much hair left on his head

   Hindi pa man din ako tapos kumanta ay payapa na ang paghinga ni Ethan habang unti unti ay nawala siya sa screen at kisame na lang ang nakikita ko ngayon. Siguro ay nabitawan niya ang cellphone.

   "Goodnight, Ethan boo." Bulong ko saka tinapos ang video chat.

   "Yieeeeee."

   Napalingon ako sa pinto nang marinig ko ang boses ng kambal.

   "Goodnight, Ethan boo." Nanunuksong dagdag pa Jinn saka ngumuso-nguso sa hangin.

   "Ah ganon? Niloloko niyo ako? Okay, sa tingin ko wala akong pangbayad para sa field trip niyo."

   "Kuya naman! Jinn naman kasi eh!" Nakalabing reklamo ni Junno.

   "Dyok lang naman 'yon."

   Itinabi ko lang ang gitara at nagpabango saka nagpaalam kay Mama. Siya na raw ang bahalang maghatid sa kambal sa eskwela.

   "Stupid kid, bakit hindi ka nag-rasyon ng dyaryo kahapon?" Bungad ni Mrs. Cruz.

    Hindi ko alam kung bakit Mrs. Cruz ang tawag sa kanya samantalang matandang dalaga siya. Sabagay, iyon na ang nakasanayan.

   "Good morning din, Ma'am. Ah. May inasikaso ho ako kahapon kaya..." Nagkibit-balikat ako saka iniabot sa kanya ang dyaryo.
