    I walk up the stairs, hearing my footsteps echo through the empty building. Today's the day my suffering will end, I will finally get away from that god awful place. The door creaks as I open it and step onto the roof. I sigh, seeing someone leaning against the railing.

Just as I was about to take my shoes,
off of the rooftop there I see,
a girl with braided hair here before me,
despite myself I go and scream,
    "Hey, don't do, it please."

    The brunette turns around and looks at me, puzzled.

Woah wait a minute what did I just say?

    I roll my eyes and glare at her.

I couldn't care less either way.
To be honest I was somewhat pissed,
this was an opportunity missed.
  
    I scuff my shoe against the roof and walk closer as she begins to spreak.

The girl with braided hair told me her woes,
you've probably heard it all before,
"I really thought that he might be the one,
but then he told me he was done."
   
    I yell and throw my arms out in frustration, then point at her.

"For God's sake please
are you serious I just can't believe
that for some stupid reason
you got here before me."
 
    She looks at me, mouth agape.

"Are you upset 'cause you can't have what you wanted?
You're lucky that you've never gotten robbed of anything!"
   
    She looks at me and smiles through tears, slipping her shoes back on.

"I'm cured but I thank you for listening."
The girl with braided hair then disappeared.

    I sigh, and about 10 minutes after she leaves, I head back down the stairwell hoping that tomorrow I will have better luck.

Alright today's the day or so I thought,
Just as I took both of my shoes off
There was but a girl short as can be
Dispite my self I go and scream.

    "Hey!" I shout. She turnd her head around and looks at me, shocked. My gaze softens at her tear stains.

The petite girl told me her woes
You've probably heard it all before
"Everyone ignores me everyone steals.
I don't fit in with anyone here."

    I yell once more.

"For God's sake please
Are you serious I just can't believe
That for some stupid reason
you got here before me."

    She gasps and stares at me.

"Cuz even so
You're still loved by everyone at home"

    I reach out to her and grasp her hand.

"There's always dinner waiting on the table y'know."

    The girl swings her legs off the railing back towards me and sheds more tears, but these ones are different.

"I'm hungry" says the girl as she sheds a tear. The girl short as can be then disappeared.
And like that there was someone everyday
I listened to the tale
I made them turn away
But yet there was no one who
Would do this for me no way I could
Let out all this pain.

    I punch the wall crying and wipe my blood hand on my pants. When will they stop? When will I be able to end this?

For the very first time there I see
Someone with the same pains as me
Having done this time again
He wore a yellow cardigan.

    Now it's my turn to gasp. Why is he up here?

"I just wanna stop the scars agrow
Everytime that I go home
That's why I came up here instead."
That's what the boy in the cardigan said.
Woah wait a minute what did I just say
I couldn't care less either way.
But in the moment I just screamed
Something that I did not believe.
"Hey, don't do, it please."

    I throw a hand over my mouth and let out a chocked sob as a flashes me with a soft smile.

Oh what to do
I can't stop this boy oh this is new
For once I think I've bitten off more than I can chew.
   
    I fall to my knees and put my hands against my head, letting out more strangled sobs.

But even so
please just go away so I can't see
Your pitiful expression is just to much for me.
"I guess today is just not my day."
He looks away from me and disappeared.

    I slowly stand up. Tomorrow will be the day, and nothing will stop me.

There's no one here today I guess it's time
It's just me myself and I.
Theres no one who can interfere
No one to get in my way here.
Taking of my yellow cardigan
Watching my laces all come undone.
This petite boy short as can be
Is gonna jump now and be free.

    I sigh and lift my feet up to the railing then stand on it, my back facing the drop. I closr my eyes and fall back.

    My footsteps pound up the stairs. He left work early today. I slam the foor open to see him falling off the railing with his eyes closed.
    "GAVIN!" I yell.
    His eyes snap open and I lean over the edge and outstretch a hand. He shoots his arm up and our fingertips brush. I grab on and hold him from falling. "Gavin I love you, please don't leave me."
    He looks back at me and smiles. "I love you too, Conan." I smile and go to pull him up,

but he lets go.
