Luke stayed seated at his normal table laughing with his friends as the expressed their summer break. he loved the stories they shared and the amazing time they have spent over just a few months. his eyes glanced to the table across the cafeteria as he spotted her.

she smiled shyly as she looked down and followed her group to a table. Luke couldn't help but grin at the sight of her. she was what his summer mostly consisted of. her laugh, her smile, and the way her lips felt on his when they would kiss.

Lana could feel Luke's gaze on her. she wanted to so badly run up to him and kiss him. but he promised he would make the first move as school started. her friends were curious who was her lover over the summer but she was giving no names out.

he was the one thing that made her truly happy and in honesty she believed that she made him happy as well. his promises and his word choices just proved to her belief. to push it further to the level of affection she had for him, he was hers and she was his.

"mate, who are you staring at?" Luke looked to his friend that actually caught onto his oblivious stares, well he thought they were oblivious but guess not.

he didn't say anything as he tried playing it out in his head. he could just come out and say his girlfriend or he could tell them about his wild summer. but knowing his friends they would bust out in laughter or song, mostly likely the one from grease.

he shook his head as I muttered no one. Luke knew he promised her he would make the first move and portray the summer love to everyone but he couldn't. he just couldn't. as everyone soon headed for class Luke waited for his chance to talk to her.

Lana was heartbroken at Luke's lack of showing or his promises keeping up in the game. she couldn't help but feel as he regretted everything that has happened. she felt a presence beside her as she knew that wild intake of breath anywhere.

"Lana I know what you're going to say and I know I back tracked." Luke said as he tried to get his breathing back to it's regular state.

he never suspected she walked that fast. but he was wrong.

"Luke you were meant to present it as well as I was. but my friends already know about the summer I've had, no worries that don't know it was you."

Her heart broke she swore that this was more and when he asked her to be his, she never thought she would be his secret.

"baby, come it's hard."

"it wasn't so hard over the summer I see no excuse now." Luke's eyes widened at her tone. as long as he has known her she has never conversed that way.

Lana was shocked herself but more proud that she was standing a ground. she couldn't look at him at the moment. she knew as well as he did that he could play the baby card one more time and she would be forgiving his behavior.

Luke watched her leave. he stood there not knowing what to say as his surprise by her tone yet her walking off. he knew then and there he fucked up. he had to say something anything to get her to stop. then it hit him.

"I love you Lana.!"

everyone stopped to stare at him in aw as those words were something that shouldn't be expressed unless they have known each other for awhile. but to everyone's expressions Luke knows he meant it. he knew he has known her long enough to express those words. he knew that she was everything to him, no matter the short months they have been together.

the summer they shared was truly the highlight of his life. and he wanted more moments like that with her. more times for him to smile as he knows he makes her happy. Luke wanted her for the rest of his life no matter if he was to young to make that decision. but he truly knew that if he was going to love on being happy it was going to be with her.

Lana froze, he spoke the words she has been fighting with herself to know if they were true. the foot steps coming up behind her made her hands get sweaty as her breathing became irregular.

in a swift motion she was facing the blue eyes boy who spoke the words in front of everyone. his hand was on her cheek as his eyes stayed locked on hers. he softly spoke the words he spoke moments ago but this time in a reassuring manner.

"baby, please say it back please." he spoke as his thumb moved across her lower lip.

Luke was in pain he just wanted to her those words escape her plump lips. he wanted to be told what he felt wasn't just to himself. he felt as if time has slowed down and within minutes if she didn't speak he would break away.

"Luke I love you." he removed his hand from her cheek as he hugged her to his chest tightly.

he was beyond thrilled to hear her express what he feels, and surely needed to hear.

Lana couldn't help but giggle at Luke's excitement. a low sound of cheers erupted from around them. she didn't know what to think but all she knew was she was happy. a small chat was presented as people wanted you two to kiss.

Luke removed Lana from his embrace as he looked to her. his eyes stayed in hers the darted to her lips before looking back to her. he slowly started to lean in. as his lips brushed hers.....

"GET TO CLASS.!"

they pulled apart quickly as a over powering voice made the voice around them to disappear. Luke and Lana started to laugh before looking to where the loud voice came from.

a broad man stood there, arms crossed as he looked to the two. Luke kissed Lana on the cheek before scurrying off.

she stayed standing there as she starred down the man. "dad" she drawled out causing the man to smile.
