"People of the BloodMoon Pack. I would like to thank you for all your challenges. I can understand how difficult it must be to understand our choices, but rest assured we do this in favour of the pack." He said politically to his people. His arm snaked around my waist as he pulled me closer to him.
"This is my mate, Luna Nevaeh LockWood." He announced and I waved awkwardly at the people.
Before Cyrus could continue speaking I interrupted him.
"Look guys, these children are simply children. They are innocent of their parent's crimes. Who are we to turn away young pups that seek our refuge? I know this may make us a target to other rouges but understand and trust that your Alpha and his peers are ensuring your safety everyday. These men and women work terribly hard everyday to ensure the continuation of such a great pack." I said aloud. My heart beating loudly from nerves. "We don't want to repeat what has happened today. Six ignorant men were killed today and your Alpha remained undefeated." I gestured to Cyrus who stood taller.
What a cocky bastard.
The crowd cheered loudly afterwards and it eased my nerves. They stood up and clapped and I almost fell back from shock. I had expected them to laugh at me or throw tomatoes.
"If you have any further questions at all, you can all arrange for a meeting with either myself or others." I said finally said. Cyrus turned to me and pulled me into him, he connected his lips to mine and I could taste blood from his cut lip.
"That was great, I didn't know you were such a public speaker." He laughed when we released.
I laughed and pushed him off me, "I'm not. Come on, let's get you all cleaned up." I said and waved goodbye to everyone else.
"You'll be cleaning me up?" Cyrus smirked seductively and I rolled me eyes when we walked over to Enzo and Marcus.
"Remind me never to get on your bad side." Marcus laughed and I couldn't help but laugh at him too. Cyrus shook his head and gave Enzo a 'bro hug' before grabbing a towel from Madeline whom stood scared at the top of the staircase that led into the foyer of the house.
I followed suit when Kendra and Jordyn linked arms with me.
"You were great girl!" Kendra beamed.
"Yeah, your inner Michelle Obama came out." Jordan laughed and I chuckled. We walked into the house and they all led me to the living room. I looked around trying to find Cyrus.
Marcus and Enzo were sitting at the table with Sydney discussing something private. While Kendra and Jordyn had left my arm to grab some snacks from the fridge.
"He went up." Someone said from behind me and I turned to find Jaxon.
"And You did what I taught you!" He pulled me into a hug, almost suffocating me. I patted him on the back desperately to free myself. I needed to go see Cyrus.
"Sorry! Sometimes I don't realise how strong I am." Jaxon smirked, failing to act humble. I shrugged him off and told him I'd see him later.
I practically ran out of the living room and up the stairs. When I got the middle of the stairs another voice called for me.
