God's sob story

3.55 A.M. Last night,
I thought I was God.

Perhaps you have never
wondered, but God was
probably half-awake and
scared when He created
the heaven and the earth
and said let there be light
and there was light in the
formless and void,
God was formless and void
too, with His head full of
existential angst and mouth
tasting of last night's coffee.
God created the world after
the image of His sugar-high
fever dream. God probably
believed He had created a
masterpiece and went to sleep
feeling so good about Himself
and forgot all about it in
the morning.

God really just needed a
long good sleep.
