#2: "Soundcheck" (Camila)

Mixed sounds of Beyoncé blaring through speakers, loud footsteps on stage and Ally's infectious laugh became less distant as I was approaching the stage. When I did, there was no surprise in the sight in front of me.

Lauren was laying on the floor scrolling through her phone, Dinah and Normani were in the middle of an awful attempt of being synchronized while doing the Single Ladies choreography. Ally was clapping and laughing at the same time and Camila sat on the downstage with her back facing me.

"I was told this was the soundcheck..." a grin spread across my face as I spoke over the music.

"Y/N!!" Ally was the first to react by running over to me and pulling me into a tight hug. Normani and Dinah followed with smiles on their faces "What are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to surprise you guys. You don't mind, do you?"

"Of course not", Lauren stood up and walked over to us "You're always welcome", she said and gave me a side hug.

"Thank you..." I couldn't help but throw a glance at Camila who still hasn't changed her position "And what's up with her?"

Ally turned around "She's reading. You know she's in a completely different world then."

"Yo Mila. Mila! HEY! CAMILA!!" Dinah screamed.

Camila threw her head back in frustration "What is it now?"

That voice was making my heart stop ever since the day I met her and it made me melt every single time I'd hear it. That time wasn't an exception.

"Your girlfriend is here."

I gasped and slapped the back of Dinah's head in response. This was her usual thing - her, Lauren, Ally and Normani were the only people who knew about my huge crush on Camila and they used every chance to tease me about it. Dinah pouted and leaned down to bury her face in Ally's neck who rubbed the back of younger girl's head gently, causing Lauren to giggle.

"My what is here?" Camila asked puzzled as she placed the copy of To Kill a Mockingbird on her right and swung her legs over the edge in an attempt to stand up.

Her jaw dropped when she met my gaze and my heart couldn't help but skip a beat when she started running. She basically threw herself on me because I started losing my balance when her body collided with mine and her hands quickly found their way to the back of my neck.

"Woah!" I laughed while I was regaining my balance and I protectively wrapped my arms around Camila's small waist.

"Hey", she said between few adorable giggles that filled my ears when she hugged me even tighter, "I missed you."

"I missed you too", I smiled against her shoulder and took a moment to enjoy the feeling of her body pressed against mine.

Moments later, she pulled back a few inches but my arms were still around her waist, not wanting to let go. She slowly slid her fingers down my chest and started playing with strands of my hair without breaking our gaze for a single moment. I saw her pressing her teeth into her bottom lip as if fighting a smile.

Lauren cleared her throat "Um guys, I have to show you... something..." she trailed off after she turned to rest of the girls.

"Show us what?" Ally's eyes narrowed as Dinah frowned and Normani mouthed a confused what.

"Something..." Lauren shot them a death glare before she jerked her head towards me and Camila.

Their faces lit up in a matter of seconds "OHH right, yes! Yes, show us... that... thing", Normani smirked and Lauren rolled her eyes while she pushed them in direction of the backstage.
