Her blue-toned feet pressed against the pebbles in the creek, water flowing beneath and around her toes. Being mid-November, I was surprised that she wasn't cold. The blue-skinned blue-haired woman sat in the creek, her dress getting slightly darker as the bitterly cold clear liquid touches it. She, the woman, looked as if she was about to cry. I wanted to ask her what was wrong, but as i sat watching from the bushes, she began to sing. Suddenly I could see everything was alright, her voice had brought me to a deep, soothing sleep.
Beep---- Beep--- Sounded the alarm clock. I was definitely not ready to go to class today. My eyes slowly opened, crust in the corners from the tears i had spilt the night before. 7:57 read the clock. I picked up my glasses unenthusiastically, crawling out of bed like a zombie from its grave. I looked in the mirror at myself, still wearing the alien-print boxers I stole from my brother back in 6th grade. I hadn't really grown since them and still stood as the shortest girl in college. My bra was just a green sports bra, seeing as I don't really care about undergarments when i don't have a partner. That was a topic I didn't even want to think about. Girls were, difficult, for me to wrap my head around. I didn't bother to put on a shirt, as i usually just put on a jacket over it anyways, and i put on a green jacket with an alien patch i embrodiered in the top right corner. As for bottoms, I just put on Jeans with diamond cut outs at the knees. The thread in the jeans were yellow, sure to compliment my blonde hair. "PERIDOT!" yelled a voice from outside my dorm. "OpeN Up!" The voice began somewhat quieter, more fitting for the soft, mousy, feminine voice that it was. Accompanied by chronic knocking, I thought it was best to open the door. There stood a girl, dark blue hair. She was wearing a navy skirt, similar to her hair, and a tight-fitting white tee that read "Witch Bitch". She was also wearing a backpack and carrying luggage. Her skin was lightly tanned along with freckles that danced across her seemingly soft and acne free skin. She was taller than me by about four inches, maybe three and a half, she looked like my standard of true beauty. "Uh, hi?" I said after observing my intruder.
"Are you Peridot? The lady at the table said you'd be here, seeing as you werent at class today." She said.Ohmygodihadmorningclassestoday, i thought, internally panicking.
"First things first; Who are you, how do you know my name, and why are you in my dorm?" I asked
"Lapis Lazuli, we're going to be roommates!"
"Oh no."
"What?" Lapis asked, blinking in confusion.
"Nothing, i just kinda hoped I'd be alone this semester." I let Lapis in, shut the door, sat on my queen-sized bed, gesturing for Lapis to sit next to me.
"I see," Lapis said, "Well, i guess i should be apologizing for applying to this school late."
"Yeah, it's November, where ya been?"
"Family stuff," She said, looking down. "They had given me a few months to find a college before well, kicking me out.."
"Why would they kick you out?" I asked.
"Reasons."
"Well whatever the reason was they're still Clods."
"Clods? Is that even English?" Lapis asked.
"Yes and no."
"I see" Lazuli responded.
"Youre welcome to stay here, as long as you're okay with sleeping with me.
I can't afford another bed right now and the dorm is too small regardless of what i do." I explained."Oh, uh, okay." Lazuli stuttered while blushing.
Silence captured the room for a bried moment before Lapis had offered to go and get coffee. I agreed and gave her time to get ready in the bathroom attached.
God it doesnt help that she's hot either..
