Unexpected love

Chapter 21

I called 911 like Chris told me and I noticed someone going towards Chris. I was hoping it was his maid or one of his workers.

I was scared and when I heard a gunshot I started crying, I was scared that something might of happened to Chris. I looked to where I heard the gunshot and Chris was laying there next to his driver. There was someone standing in front of both his driver and Chris. Tears started falling, no this can't happen!

I got off the truck  not caring how dangerous it was and rushed to where they were. I looked up and it was Raphael.  "Well hello Lilian we meet again. he started laughing."

"Why you bastard! He didn't do anything to you."

"Listen bitch it was the only way to set you free. I did this for you, for us."

"I hate you!"

"Lilian, you know you still love me. Remember we're going to get married.

"You disgusts me, Raphael.

Raphael tried coming near me and heard the police and ambulance and ran towards a car and stood right next the car and yelled:

"I will come back for you Lilian and very soon!"

"Go to hell Raphael. The police are going to make you pay everything you have done."

I heard the car Raphael was in drove off and
I touched Christopher's hand, he still had pulse and was also breathing.

"Chris, my love please don't leave us. Our baby and I need you. I love you, Chris. Please Chris."

The paramedics took Mr. Jacinto and Chris to the hospital. I was waiting to get updates on how Chris, but nothing. Chris has to be okay, we have a baby on the way. I felt terrible because he asked several times if I was okay and I didn't tell him. I was lost in my thoughts until a nurse came up to me and notified me that Mr. Jacinto was better.

"Do you know if Christopher Hernandez is out of the surgery"

"I'm sorry, but he's still in that surgery"

"Thank you."

I walked into the room that Mr. Jacinto was in and he asked for Chris right way.

"Mr. Jacinto, he's still in surgery. Could you tell what exactly happened."

"That man just came and I was about to go home and he asked to see Christopher. I told the man he wasn't home, if he wanted to leave a message and he started shooting at me without no reason. There was also a woman with him, but she went inside I wouldn't really see her face."

"Thank you for the information"

I walked out of the room and called my parents and Christopher's parents to let them know what happened. I couldn't take off my mind who could that woman Jacinto talked about. Why would they want to hurt Chris? God, all of this is stressing me out. I just needed Chris to be okay.

My mother and father got to the hospital in a few minutes along with the Hernandez.

"Lilian, dear how's our son?"

"They haven't told us anything, yet Rosalie. My mother answered"

Mrs Rosalie came and hugged me.
"My son is going to be okay, he has to be and she started crying."

Mr. Hernandez went towards my father and sat next to where we were sitting.

"Family for Christopher Hernandez."

We all stood up and asked how was Chris.

"Mr. Hernandez is stable now. You may go in see him. I suggest one or two people at a time."

His parents went in first and came out within a few minutes.

"Lilian, Honey Chris is asking for you."

I made my way towards the room and rushed towards the bed.

"Chris."

"Hi beautiful. Did you miss me"

"Off course I did! Do you know how worried I was."

"I know you were my parents told me."

Chris grabbed my hands and kissed them
"I hate seeing you cry, could you please forgive me"

"Oh Chris, if anything were to happen to you I would die, please promise me that you won't ever leave me and I'll forgive you."

"I promise, my love not to leave you and our baby ever again."
