"Yah! Get back here you little shit!" Yoongi yelled whilst laughing as he chased after the three of us.

"You'll never get us, hyung!" Tae cheered as the three of us, my two brothers and I, separated and ran around the park away from Yoongi who was currently 'it'.

Looking behind me to see if he was still coming after me, that was my mistake. Whipping my head to look back, my foot found a bit of a hole in the ground causing me to scream and fall.

"Hyunjoo!" I heard my older brother yell as I shoved myself to lay on my back for a second, needing to catch my breath. Yoongi and Taehyung quickly rushed over as well.

"You dumbass, you should watch where you're going." Yoongi chuckles as the three of them sit around me.

"Well you definitely did it, Hyunjoo. You've sprained your ankle." Hobi tells me with an eye roll. Huffing at my shitty luck, Yoongi grabs my hands to help me sit up whilst I carefully pull my foot from the divid that caused my fall.

"Aw come on, Hobi. That's nothing too bad." I say with a frown when I see my ankle only slightly swollen and looking dirty and bruised. Yoongi looks at me in surprise.

"Are you crazy? You hurt yourself and sprained your ankle! How can you say 'that's nothing too bad?!" Yoongi exclaims in disbelief. I merely roll my eyes again, brushing my longish boyish hair out of my eyes as I grin at my best friend.

"It is Hyunjoo after all, hyung. What else do you expect from a crazy person like him?" Tae reminds our friend with a slight smirk. All three of us simply chuckle.

"We're here." The man driving the van informs me, breaking me from my thoughts. I simply give him a curt nod before climbing out of the van with my father's right hand man, Daehyun.

I'm completely silent as we walk through the entrance of the building, moving my body thoughtlessly as I follow my uncle. I hardly notice everyone and everything we pass by as my thoughts wander off once more to my brothers and old best friend...

That memory was from just over five years ago. I was six years old at the time. It's been five years since I last saw or heard from Yoongi. Four years since we lost Taehyung... It's just now been only a few days past a year since my older brother, Hobi, disappeared. We'd lost our mother exactly a week after that memory had happened during an attack.

"You're never going to get over them, are you?" Daehyun questions softly as we stand in the elevator, waiting for it to arrive at the correct floor.

"You don't expect me to take their absences easily, do you?" My voice is cold, not bothering to look up at my uncle as I speak, staring instead at the spotless metal elevator doors in front of me. He sighs, ruffling my hair.

"Sweetheart, eventually you're going to have to move on from it. We all lose people eventually, Ryujin. You can't stay angry over it forever. They wouldn't want you to be." He says softly. My fist tightens at my side from the use of my real name.

"Appa would be pissed to hear you saying that name, Daehyun. We're still in the elevator and if anyone finds out about this, you know damn well he doesn't want to have to have it be on your head of all people." I snap quietly just seconds before the elevator doors open. He sighs once again but remains silent as we step out.

Walking down the hall, our footsteps are the only sound as we make our way to my father's office. When we get there, he knocks on the door before we hear a voice telling us to enter. I don't bother wasting anytime as I enter the room, my uncle right behind me.

"Report?" Appa questions coldly, sitting in his desk chair as he raises an eyebrow at me expectantly.

"Successful. Security cameras disabled and should have only come back on two minutes ago now. Target taken down and is being disposed as we speak. No evidence left." I answer, my voice equally cold and emotionless.

My eyes stay locked with his, my father remaining silent for a good minute before a small smile finally pulls onto his face. I hide my shock from his reaction, remaining stoic as I watch him stand and walk over to me before kneeling down in front of me. He places one hand on my shoulder, the other on my cheek.

"You've done well, Ryujin. I know I've been hard on you these last eleven years. You have to understand that it's only because things are harder for you with being a girl and especially now since we've lost your brothers." He informs me, a small smile still toying with his lips.

If anything, the smile scares me. The kindness, while extremely minimal, is worrisome. However, Daehyun's phone ringing cuts our conversation as my father stands up, a serious look on his face again as he watches the other man.

"Hello?... Yes, I'm with him... Thank you, we'll handle it." He speaks before hanging up. Just as he slips his phone back away, the sound of sirens can faintly be heard.

"Sir, the police are here. They're already beginning to storm the building." Daehyun informs us as he waits for instructions.

"Okay. Take Ryujin. You know the procedure, Daehyun. Remember the young person I've taught you to be, Ryujin." Appa says seriously before turning to speak to me in a slightly softer tone.

Immediately, Daehyun grabs my upper arm as he begins to drag me towards the secret door on my father's 'glass' wall. My heart rate instantly picks up as I watch my father walk back over to his desk and pull a gun.

Before I have a chance of processing everything that's happening, Daehyun and I are hidden in the secret room connected to my father's office. I don't even have a second to speak a single word as I turn back to look through the glass at my father. He looks over at me, seeming to have an idea of exactly where I am before the trigger is pulled.

I felt my heart just fall in my chest as I watch my father's body lying there lifeless. No tears formed, I felt like I couldn't move. I've been struggling all this time with losing family and now I've just lost the last of them... I technically have my uncle but he's never been much easier on me than my father ever was.

"Come on, Ryujin. You need to change into this and then we have to go." Daehyun calls for me as I continue standing there, watching the police burst into the room where my father is lying lifelessly.

"Ryujin, we need to go." He says softer this time as he places a hand on my shoulder.

Forcing myself to move, I take the clothes from his hand before stepping into the extra room in the secret space before changing into the ragged dress that I'd been handed. I frown at the clothing, never once having worn a dress in my life before and entirely disliking everything about this.

"Ready to go?" He asks as I step back out of the room. I simply shrug, feeling completely emotionless yet feeling a war of emotions raging inside of me at the same time. With that, he grabs my upper arm and drags me off down the secret stairs and passages that exist in the building to get us out of there.

I don't have to ask the question to know where I'm going from here. An orphanage to never see my uncle ever again until I'm of age to be able to take over the gang on my own...
