Finley Thompson's POV

"I'm scared shitless, Mom," I tried to hold back tears.
"I know hun," My mother's voice came from my car's speaker. "You'll do so amazing and thrive in LA, I swear it! I'm so sorry nobody was able to help you move, I so wish I could be there on this big day."
"I know, me too." I was parked in my new apartment's parking garage. "I guess I better start doing the unpacking and get situated." I mumbled an I love you and said goodbye, making it clear I was not looking forward to the long day ahead of me.

I unsteadily got out of my car and got to unloading. Luckily I was able to haul everything up in one trip.Although, I still struggled a hell of a lot and not a single passing stranger offered to help me, but that's LA for you. Guess I have to get used to that.

I arrived at my apartment door and balanced a handful of things in my hand while I fumbled with the key. Once I got it unlocked, I tried opening the door but everything in my arms tumbled to the ground.
"God damnit!" I was so frustrated at this point.
"Need some help?" A voice said from behind me. I quickly turned around to see two male figures behind me. One of them was blonde, wearing jeans and a red shirt. The other was brunette, wearing all black and he had his hair in a bandanna. They both looked so oddly familiar but I couldn't place my finger on it.
I sighed, "Yeah, I do." I let out a little laugh at the fact I probably looked so pathetic.
They quickly came to my aid and grabbed a bag or two and I led them into my empty apartment.
"You can just set them wherever. Thank you guys." I gave them both half smiles and they nodded.
"See you around then!" The blonde walked out of the apartment and headed down the hall.
The brunette was just about to follow before stopping in his tracks and turning towards me. "Finley Thompson." He said.
I was taken back, "Uh.. Yeah!" I let out a nervous laugh.
"Sorry, that was creepy." He scratched the back of his neck. "I've seen some of your videos, your channel blew up!"
"Oh my God, David." I covered my face, completely embarrassed. "I knew I recognized you and the blonde from somewhere. Alex is his name, right?"
"Yep, that's us. We live just down the hall actually. Maybe you could come over and be in the vlog someday." He offered.
"Actually, that would honestly be so nice. I know absolutely nobody in Cali."
"Oh for real? You moved here alone?"
I nodded. "I really wanted change I guess, so here's my change." I laughed.
"One hell of a change!" He joked. "Well, I better go catch up with Alex. See you later." He mentioned his apartment number and then walked out.
I knew I wasn't going to go over without seeing him again first. That would just be awkward.

// Time Skip Yeeeet //

It had been two or three days since I moved in. I was pretty much settle in given I worked my ass off getting everything unpacked and decorated. I was pretty happy with how everything looked.

I had just finished up getting ready (outfit in picture obv) as there was a sudden knock on my door. I trotted over to the door and opened it. It was David.

"Well, hello there." I said, honestly happy to see him again.
"Hey!" He chirped, "So, I was wondering if you would maybe want to come to this little party my buddies are having at their place? Like, with me?"

Wasn't expecting that one.

"With you or with you with you?" I asked sarcastically.
"Actually with me, you know."
"O-oh! I wasn't expected that." I paused a moment. "I mean, yeah, sure! I can give you my number and you text me the details?"
"Sounds good." He smiled and handed me his phone. I typed in my number and named my contact "YouTuber Down the Hall" with a little cowboy emoji. I gave him his phone and he laughed at my doing.
"Well, see you later tonight YouTuber Down the Hall." He pretended to tip a cowboy hat. I curtsied in response and watched him walk a few steps down the hall before closing the door and low key fangirling.
