Fryer watched as the two girls were led away to the infirmary to clean their wounds—well it was only one girl who was injured and the second girl tagged along with her. A human, a hot-headed one too. It's been a while someone got on his nerve the moment they met.
"Some girl she was," Felix came to his side. "But I'm glad they came. She just saved Verena's and Mike's life."
Fryer momentary looked at Felix and then at the rogue wolves who had an arrow stuck to his head. He walked to it and pulled the arrow out to examine it. It was beautiful, the blood made it look more beautiful. The shaft was made of smoothly cut wood and the head was made of silver and had detailed designed crafted on it.
"This looks customised," Felix said.
Fryer gave a small nod and looked around the field. "Did you contact Jaden?"
"I was about to tell you about it," Felix replied, "Jaden and others reached their hiding spot but everything was already destroyed. They said they would look around for a little while longer before coming back."
"Tell them to immediately meet me when they get here," Fryer ordered stiffly and walked away.
It was a great loss for them to lose such a great opportunity they were provided with. When he received that the letter a few days ago, he couldn't believe the content but he still had to check it. He had sent his beta Jaden and a group of warriors to the hideout mentioned in it but they were still late. Not to mention he had sent his best warriors with Jaden and the pack was suddenly attacked by these hunters and rogues leaving them vulnerable.
It was no doubt that the two girls saved them from great damage not that Fryer was going to say that out loud. They were strangers who entered his land uninvited and besides he didn't know their identity and how they were so good at fighting, especially that human girl.
'"Diana!" Fryer mind linked one of his pack members who was the daughter of the previous Alpha.
"Check the background of the two girls"
