you've never meet brutal like mine
first off: never judge a book by it's cover is absolute and utter bullshit. covers are always screaming: judge me now.
the first thing a reader considers while in search of a book is -- you guessed it (!) -- the cover. Think about it, when was the last time you tapped or clicked on a book with an unattractive cover? mostly likely not so often.
would you really read a book with professional looking cover over one that looks like it's been made in less than two minutes?
hopefully, you can see the differences between cover one and two.
some key components of covers are: the cover art, font choice, and text color.
for cover art: i can not, for the like of me, stress exactly how many times I've seen the same cover art repeatedly, and groaned. if you can't find good cover arts on google, pinterest is now your new best friend: not only does it give you variety of options but they're also aesthetically-pleasing.
for font: you don't always need to fix this but sometimes you're in major need of change. not many people know this but, not all the font of your choice go along with your title or cover art. I'm sorry, they just don't. they cover examples i've shown above are proof of that; maybe if i changed the font it would look a bit better than it does now. if you're having trouble choosing fonts, i'm here to help!
for text color: guys, a bright pink unappealing text color with a sunset background is disgusting. (this is a reference from the example above) that sentence alone is enough to explain importance of color. please choose wisely.
that's it! these are all the things you need to have an excellently crafted cover!
but i'm not a professional designer! you complain.
i'm not asking you to be one (!!), just put a little effort into your covers, and if that doesn't work out, hey, this is an open graphic shop!
secondly: no one wants nor likes a shitty title
I Changed The BadBoy, She Is Mine, The Alpha's Mate are redundant and not as attractive on your book as it used to be. why is it not attractive anymore? it's a lazy choice, too many people use it already! people want to see originality and effort -- two things you're more than capable of doing; now you complete the hardest part: actually getting it done.
