Miyano chose to sat himself on the edge of Taeko's bed, taking a moment to look around before she turned off the lights. Her room was certainly brighter when the light was on compared to how he was more used to seeing it. She smiled shyly and turned on her lamp, turning out the main light. The lamp warmed up the room, giving it a warm glow.
"You're not going to do anything to me, are you?" She asked with an awkward laugh, sitting comfortably on her bed. He shook his head, slipping his shoes off and changing his position. She smiled and neatened her hair.
"Just focus on the pendant." He told her, pulling a necklace with a crystal star pendant from his pocket. It was a gift he'd chosen out specially for her, and now seemed like the best chance to show her. He started swinging the pendant in front of her face, ready to pull her back into a trance. "When I snap my fingers, you'll begin to feel sleepy." He told her, snapping his fingers seconds later. She instantly fell into his trance. "You're sleepy. Very sleepy. Sleepy turning into tired. Now you're so tired you can't stay awake. And now you're asleep." He told her, her eyes closing once he said the word asleep. He smiled softly at her, watching her for a short while. She was so peaceful and beautiful in her sleep. He eventually got up and set the pendant down on the bedside table along with a note, gently making her comfortable in bed. "You will wake up at the sound of your alarm clock like usual. Goodnight, Yamada-san." He said, gently placing a kiss on her forehead before switching off her lamp and climbing out the window back home. He would've loved to stay, but he hadn't been invited to stay and it would just be awkward.Taeko's 6am alarm woke her up the next morning, something that never usually happened. Hanako would normally have to come and jump on her and shout that she was gonna be late to wake her. She looked over to turn the alarm off, stopping when she saw a necklace placed on the bedside table next to a note. She turned her alarm off and picked up the note, reading it.
Good morning Taeko! I left right after you fell asleep, hope you don't mind. I decided to leave the pendant to you, since I think you'd look pretty with it on as a necklace. Call me if you want to walk with me to school. From Miyano Aishi xxx
Taeko smiled softly and picked up her phone, calling him. She wanted to spend as much time with him as possible, so she would be more than happy to walk to school with him today instead of Hanako and Osana.
"Good morning Taeko." Miyano said as he answered the phone. She couldn't understand why her heart seemed to flutter when she heard Miyano's voice, but she liked it. It was a good feeling.
"Good morning to you too, Miyano. Would you like to walk to school with me this morning?" She asked, playing with her hair cutely. He would've been blushing if he'd seen it.
"Yeah. I'll be over in fifteen minutes, okay?" He asked, ending the call once she had agreed. 15 minutes would be more than enough time for her to get up and ready.Osana knocked on Taeko and Hanako's front door like normal, expecting to be walking to school with the sisters like usual. Hanako opened the door, grabbing her bag.
"Hi Osana. Taeko's already left." Hanako said to her, stepping outside and closing the door. Taeko has left nearly twenty minutes ago without saying anything, and Hanako had seen her from the window.
"She left? Who with?" Osana asked. She didn't know Taeko to even really be awake at this time, let alone out of the house and on her way to school.
"This boy. He had dark hair and was really tall." Hanako told Osana, walking next to her. Osana clicked her tongue, knowing exactly who Hanako was talking about.
"Is it just me or has she been acting weird?" Osana decided to ask. She only saw Taeko in school and while walking to and from, unless she invited to hang out which was more often than not, but she could tell Taeko wasn't quite herself.
"Yeah. She's always on her phone, and last night she had that boy come in, and they went into her bedroom." Hanako said. She'd seen Taeko and Miyano going up to her bedroom so he could hypnotise her to sleep, but neither of them knew that fact. "She was fiddling around with this necklace this morning when I saw her, and when I asked her she said a boy had given it to her." She continued, clearly unhappy and a little jealous her sister would rather talk to a boy than her.
"I think I know the boy. Miyano Aishi in my class. I'm gonna talk to him today." Osana said through gritted teeth, continuing to walk towards school. Hanako noticed her picking up her pace, and found herself having to nearly run to keep up with her ginger friend.Osana walked into the courtyard, seeing Taeko and Miyano sat together by the fountain. Miyano had his arm around her, and she seemed to be giggling and smiling. Osana narrowed her eyes at the pair, walking over to them.
"Excuse me." She said bluntly, grabbing Miyano by the wrist and dragging him off. Taeko watched them go over to the corner, staying where she was. Miyano would be back any minute right? "What are you doing to Taeko? She's acting all weird and I know you've done something." She snapped in a hushed voice.
"I haven't done anything." He laughed plainly. He considered using his hypnosis on Osana, but he was kinda enjoying that his new relationship with Taeko was winding her up. She'd always been so annoying in class anyway.
"I know you're lying. Taeko would never act like that for some loser like you." Osana said bluntly, digging her her nails into his arm. He didn't even flinch, laughing.
"Well weren't you wrong." He said, grabbing her wrist and pulling her away from his arm. Once Osana had been forced to let go, Miyano turned and went back to Taeko without another word. He would rather be with her anyway. Osana made a low growl and walked off, going to find someone who would help her catch Miyano doing something to mess up with Taeko. Unfortunately for her, Miyano was one step ahead.
