"So I have some news" Charlie said nervously as she came to sit next to me outside. I had my sketches for design class spread on the glass table as I worked away in the sun.
"You're pregnant" I said, not looking up from my drawings.
"No!" Charlie exclaimed.
"Okay then what is it?"
"God, Ally. Have you always been this blunt?" She asked.
I flashed Charlie a toothy grin. "Yup"
"Well, Brad asked me to go with him to his brother's wedding this week" Charlie told me, playing with her hands in her lap.
"All week?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"That'll be fun" I smiled.
"That's all?" Charlie asked shocked. "No telling me that we're taking this too fast or I should re-think going for the whole week?"
"Do you want me to say that to you?" I asked.
"Well no but.."
"Charlie" I cut her off, setting my pencil down. "You are a big girl. You can take care of missing a week of college, can't you?" Not waiting for her reply I continued. "You love him and he loves you. He wants you to meet his family for crying out loud and at his brother's wedding no less. Don't worry about everybody else and what they define as too fast or too slow. Go at your own pace. If your ready for this then go but if you think it's too much to handle, tell him. He will understand"
Charlie looked at me for a moment. "This is why I love you"
"You're welcome" I laughed as I was tackled into a hug.
"Okay then, in that case I guess I will ring Brad and tell him I'm coming! Las Vegas here I come"
"Wait, Las Vegas?"
"Yeah" Charlie smiled sheepishly. "He has a big family who love to party so they are getting hitched out there. We leave tomorrow and come back next Sunday"
"Fun!" I agreed. "Go tell lover boy you're going with him"
"Okay!" She squeaked and ran inside.
I smiled shaking my head at her enthusiasm, picking up my pencil to start sketching only to be interrupted by my phone ringing.
"Hello?" I answered, not looking at the caller I.D.
"Brad's coming to help Charlie pack so I'm taking you out for lunch" The voice on the other end said.
"And what if I don't want to go out for lunch with you?" I argued.
"I guess that's just too bad then cause we just pulled up so even if I have to drag you out, we're going" Then he hung up. Great. Sighing, I pushed up out of my chair and started to clear the table of all my drawings. "Wow, did you do all of these?"
I looked up from the pile of papers in my hand to see Seb holding a piece that I had been working on for a while. "Yeah I did" I admitted shyly. I loved drawing but I didn't really like to show people.
"These are crazy good" He complimented sincerely.
I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear and smile. "Thanks"
"Come on then let's get going. I'm starving"
I took the drawing that Seb held in his hand, going into my room and chucking on a pair of denim shorts as well as a clean t-shirt that hung off one shoulder. "Bye Charlie, bye Brad" I called out following Seb to the door.

"Good morning sunshine" A voice spoke into my ear. I groaned, shoving my head under the pillow to try and get away from the noise. "I don't think so. This is my bed and I say it's time to get up." The voice took away the pillow and stripped me of my...
