I woke up in the middle of the night and saw someone standing there, then froze when I saw the Sharingan.

"It's been a while, Michiko."

"Keep your voice down, I want to talk."

"Why should I listen?" I bit.

"Have I ever harmed you?"

I thought hard about it and realized that he was right. Even when we battled him, he never actually attacked me, just pushed me or hit a pressure point, but never actually harmed me.

"Alright, I'll listen." I said as I locked my door and closed my shades.

"Activate your eyes. We'll talk there."

I did as told and once we entered each other's minds, we sat and talked.

"Have you and Sasuke ever dated?" He asked.

"I do hope that you two end up together."

"You're the only one that's right for him. You make him happy and...you complete him."

"You're delusional."

"I'm not. I've noticed it even when you were both children. Whenever you two played, he looked at you with pure love and the teasing proved it. I cherish Sasuke...but I cherish you as well, Michiko."

"So why'd you-"

"I can't tell you that yet."

"Itachi, I've always seen you as a brother and I know you. Something doesn't feel authentic about what you did."

"I'll tell you my reasons in due time."

"Why'd you wanna talk about Sasuke?"

"My brother loves you more than anything."

"No he-"

"I know my baby brother, Michiko."

"So, why do you want us to be together?"

"Think of it as a dying wish."

"A-Are you okay?"

He began to have a coughing fit, so I placed my hand on his back.

"No, I'm terminally ill."

"Let me heal you."

"No... Sasuke must kill me."

"You can't tell him about our meeting."

"I won't."

"Promise you won't give away any reason for him to suspect that we've talked."

"I promise."

"I'm glad I got to see you all grown up." He smiled as he poked my forehead.

"Thank you." I giggled.

"Our mothers used to talk about you two all the time." He chuckled.

"Yes, they used to talk about how they hope you two will marry one day."

"Itachi." I whined with a blush.

"I know that Sasuke's been sneaking around to see you. Don't let him know about this and just let him kill me. Hopefully after my death, he'll return home."

"One day... one day, you and my brother will get married." He smiled before coughing again.

My protective instincts kicked in, so I cradled him and rubbed his back until he stopped coughing.

"That won't cure me." He weakly chuckled.

"I know." I frowned.

"Smile. I want you to know that no matter what, I've always loved you and Sasuke. You two are precious to me."

"I love you too, Itachi."

"Is it true that Sasuke went rogue?"

"Please, be there for him and listen to him if he needs to talk. He's so confused and doesn't know the truth."

"What truth?"

"In due time, Michiko."

"You look so different." He smiled.

"Why does everyone say that?" I blushed.

"Because you're not hiding your beauty anymore."

"I never hid anything." I insisted.

"Yes you did. You always hid your long hair and wore baggy clothes. You were beautiful even as a child. Sasuke used to complain because he thought you were insecure and wanted to beat up whoever made you feel that way." He laughed.

"In my defense, the reason I hid my hair was because a rumor got out that Sasuke liked girls with long hair, so every girl started growing her hair. I didn't want him to think that I was trying to get him to like me."

"The funny thing is that the rumor was true. He liked long hair because you had it." He laughed.

I started to fiercely blush, causing Itachi to laugh even more.

"I remember how seriously he took the paw print game." He reminisced.

"I couldn't help but laugh at his frustration...we got the last print too."

"I'm glad."

"Remember when he twisted his ankle and you had to carry him back home?" I laughed.

"And you mercilessly teased him and called him a baby?"

"That was funny!" I defended.

"It was. You two were always my joy when you were around."

"Training with you was the best."

"Oh, that's right, while Sasuke was at class, you were training with me, then we went to pick him up afterwards."

"Those were such good times." I smiled.

"I have to go now, Michiko. It was great seeing you again and I do hope that one day I can see you and Sasuke together again."

"I hope to see you again too."

We left each other's minds and before he left, I hugged him.

"Goodbye, Michiko." He whispered.

"Goodbye, Itachi." I whispered.

After he left, I looked out at the moon and smiled.
