Kayleigh's pov

I'm standing in the Toronto airport. I'm looking down the gate B23, the gate that Tyler's plane was leaving from. I see a blurry figure at the end of the gate, but I can't make out what it is. The figure starts to clear up as it moves closer to me. I see that it's Tyler, and that he is running towards me and he looks scared. He starts to scream and I run to meet him. I need to help him, I can help him, I can save him. I reach my hand out for him and I'm almost there. All of a sudden the floor drops from beneath him and he is sucked into the open air. He screams louder but his screams are muffled from the howling winds and he goes out of my sight. I  kneel at the edge of the floor and cry for him.

I bolt up in bed gasping for air. I put my hands on either side of my head and realize I'm crying.

"Kayleigh, it was just a dream, you're okay." He touched my arm and I flinch away when his skin touches mine.

"It wasn't just a dream. It wasn't." I cry into my hands.

A nauseating feeling sweeps over me again and I run to the bathroom slamming the door behind me. I stay hunched over the toilet until I don't think I have to throw up anymore. I lean back against the wall with my knees to my chest, continuing to cry. I forget Shawn is outside until I hear a knock on the door.

"Kayleigh, are you okay?"

I try to compose myself enough to respond but it takes me a few seconds. I don't want Shawn to have to deal with me. I know he wants to be helpful but we barely know each other. We haven't even been hanging out that long.

"You should go, Shawn."

Shawn stays quiet for a minute. "Kayleigh open the door.:

I don't move, "Shawn I want you to leave."

He doesn't say anything again for a minute. "I know you're hurting and need space, so I'm going to give it to you. But don't shut me out Kay. I'll call you later."

I hear the door shut a few seconds later and I know I'm alone. I bury my face in my hands again and bawl.

I do nothing for the rest of the day, alternating from sleeping and watching Netflix. I think about Shawn and I feel really bad about how I kicked him out. I know he was only trying to help but I just needed to be alone for the day.

I feel my phone buzzing beside me and see that Lauren is calling me, "Hello" I mumble.

"Hey girl, how are you feeling?"

"I'm doing okay."

"Me and Sara were thinking it might be good for you to get out of the house, do you want to come out tonight?"

I really don't, but I think they might be right. I haven't been out since I got back from Vancouver and even when I was there I was staying at my parents house all day. "Okay, that might be good. Where are we going?"

"This guy I know is having a house party, so we're thinking of checking that out. Come over to my place in an hour and we can all get ready together."

"Okay, I'll see you in a bit."

I go to my room and pick out a few outfit options to wear and shove my makeup in a bag. I make something little to eat since I really haven't eaten anything in days. It takes about twenty minutes to get to Lauren's place so I leave a little early to give room for traffic.

I pull up to Lauren's house and knock on the door. I ring the doorbell and can hear her walking down the stairs until she opens the door revealing her face. "Hey!" She says and gives me a hug. "How are you?"

I hug her back before we walk inside. "I'm good, but if you don't mind, I don't really want to talk about it tonight. I just want to have fun with you guys." I look across from Lauren to Sara who is sitting across the kitchen from us.

"Deal," Sara says as they both nod their heads.

We all go upstairs to start getting ready and they help me choose what to wear. We decide on a black corduroy skirt and a tight maroon off the shoulder long sleeve shirt. I pair it with a pair of black heels and a gold choker. I curl my hair and do my makeup and then am ready to go.

I wait a few minutes for Lauren and Sara to be ready before we call a cab and head to the party. We pull up to a huge house and I marvel at how big it is. We walk inside and I go straight to the bar, Lauren and Sara following me. I order a round of shots for the three of us and then two more for myself, quickly downing all three.

I grimace after the third one and Sara and Lauren look at me shocked. "Whoa, you going hard tonight?" Sara asks with a chuckle.

I shrug my shoulders and laugh, "Whatever happens, happens." I didn't think I was going to get that drunk, but boy was I wrong.

An hour later and I am slammed. I notice somebody walk through the door and see Andy. I take another shot and walk up to him confidently. "Kayleigh, wait!" Sara yells at me, trying unsuccessfully to grab my hand to stop me.

I don't stop and continue walking towards him. I stumble a little and Andy notices me. He starts to walk towards me as well, and luckily sticks out his arms just as I was about to fall into the wall. I grab onto him to hold myself up, "Thank you!" I look up at his eyes and they gleam down on me. He gives me a mischievous smirk which I find incredibly sexy. "Don't do that." I giggle.

"Do what?" He smiles again.

"That! That smile, it's not fair."

"What do you mean it's not fair?"

"You know that I think it's hot, which is why you continue to do it." I explain.

"So, what are you going to do about it?" he steps closer to me.

"Well I haven't figured that part out yet," I say smiling, "but I have a few ideas."
