Inside I did not find Ahsoka. I peeked outside the door and sighed. I looked at Rex, his grip on his twin blasters.

“It’s almost sun down. Master said we had to be back before sun down. What are we going to do?” I asked, putting a hand on my forehead.

“Um, well do you think Ahsoka has her comlink on?” I snapped my head up.

“Rex!” I screeched. “That’s a brilliant idea!” I pressed the button on my comlink. “Ahsoka, Ahsoka, are you there?” I asked.

There was no answer. “Ahsoka!” I screamed. I felt angry she wasn’t answering.

“Try not to be so loud!” I whirled around. There, standing at the door was Ahsoka, her lightsaber on her belt and a basket of fruit in hand. “There is someone after you. I’ve been watching you two all day.”

“Ahsoka! Ventress was after us. We came here to talk to you.”

“You fought off Ventress well, Padawan.” I smiled.

“I really need to talk to you.” I said. She nodded and I looked at Rex. He nodded and started to walk outside. “Careful, Rex,” I added, “Asajj could still be out there.” He put his helmet on.

“I’ll be fine kid. That witch doesn’t scare me.” I smiled and he left.

“Sit,” Ahsoka motioned and I sat. She smiled at me. For a couple minutes, there was just silence, not awkward silence, but silence. It was almost peaceful.

“I assume you are here to try and get me to come back with you to Coruscant.” She said calmly.

“I actually wanted to apologize.” I said weakly. She tilted her head and I cleared my throat. “I was wrong. It’s not the Jedi way to let anger rule your mind and words. I’m sorry, what I said to you isn’t true. You’re not pathetic or a coward… or an insult to the Order. I’m sorry.” I looked to the ground.

“Actually, you’re wrong. Well, now you are wrong, before you were right. I could have been a powerful Jedi and I could have gotten a place on the high council. I had a lot going for me. I was one of the youngest Padawans ever, but eventually, I misplaced my trust in the Council. I thought the best decision was to leave.”

“What are you—?” I started to interject put she put her hand up.

“Please, let me speak.” I nodded and she continued. “I was wrong to leave. I left Anakin and the Council and I left a rift in the Force that has not yet been repaired. I hurt a lot of people that day, and some I loved dearly. I was a coward to leave. I am pathetic to stay here and abandon my values. And by staying here, I am an insult to the Council. You were right, Andora. You were right.” She nodded and I felt confused.

“No, I am wrong. Master Kenobi, Master Skywalker, Rex, they all think what I said was wrong.” I said, outraged.

“They think what you said is true, but they cannot express that. What you did was put your anger in front of logic, and for that, they cannot stand by you for what you said. But you were right.”

I breathed heavily and calmed myself down. “So…  Ahsoka, will you come back to Coruscant with me?” She smiled.

“I am ready to leave my people and take responsibility for my values and actions. I will come back to Coruscant with you.” A smile grew across my face. “Besides, I think I owe Senator Amidala a long lost visit.” I laughed.

“Thank you Ahsoka.” She embraced me for a hug and I graciously accepted. I pulled away from our hug and smiled. “I’m afraid we must leave now.” She nodded and walked over to a trunk in the corner of the hut.

She pulled out two cloaks and threw me one. “This is the cloak I wore when I left Coruscant five years ago.” She pulled the cloak on and put it over her Lekku and I did the same.

“I think it’s only fitting for you to wear it when you come back to Coruscant.” I said, smiling. “Now let’s get Rex and go.” She nodded and walked out of the hut.
