Lauren's P.O.V.

It's been a whole fucking year. It's insane that a year ago, I found out I have a son. A year ago I was a totally different person a year ago. I had a different girlfriend, no responsibilities and to be honest I felt empty. I felt like something was missing and I thought it was Mani but it was both of them. Aiden was a surprise I didn't know I needed but having him in life has changed me for the better. If it weren't for him I wouldn't be as happy as I am today.

To celebrate our year together, I took him to Disney World and that's where we've been for the past three days. The first day didn't go as planned because I had no idea he has a fear of people in costumes. He pretty much freaked out when he saw Goofy coming near him and I had to chase him through a crowd of people. He hid behind mine or Mani's legs every time he saw one of them. I don't know why some kids are afraid of that. Yesterday went a little better though. We got a picture with Minnie even though I had to hold him and he wouldn't stop glaring at the person in the costume. Beside that though, he's been having a good time.

Today we really just spent a lot of the time in water. Mani and I tried to teach him how to swim and he got the hang of it a little. Normani and I have been having fun too. I thought it would feel wrong to have sex here because it's a family place but Mani has her ways of getting what she wants and I can't say I fought her too much on it anyway. We're coming up on a year in a few months and I feel like this time around was better than the last. I don't know what's changed but something has and it isn't bad. I love her more now than ever before and that's why I'm glad I chose her.

I haven't spoken to Hanna too much since the breakup. It's not because she didn't want to be friends but it's because she's living her dream. She's always out of the country and busy most of the time but she's doing well. She told me she was in love with her childhood friend, the swimmer, Emily. When she came to visit Hanna a few months back, Hanna told her how she felt and they're dating now. I'm really happy for her and I hope they last.
Normani and I are sitting out on the balcony of our room. Aiden fell asleep about an hour ago and she and I just came out here to enjoy the view. Normani is leaning on the banister and I'm sitting in a chair behind her.

"This sky is beautiful." She says and I look up. The sky is clear and the moon looks really big and close.

"Yeah. It is." I say and go back to looking at my phone.

"Come here." She says and I glance up at her. She's turned towards me and is pushing some hair out of her face and pushes it behind her ear. Her dress is moving with the wind and she has one hand behind her on the banister. I put my phone down in the chair as I stand and walk over to her. I stand in front of her and put my hands on the banister behind her.

"This is a lot more beautiful." She says as she cups my left cheek. I smirk and shake my head.

"You're cheesy." She grins.

"You're worse, trust me." I chuckle and she runs her thump over her jawline.

"I want to tell you something." She says and I raise my eyebrow. The wind blows and our hair flies to our faces. As we both move the hair, I look into her eyes.

"What?" I say.

"I love you."

"That's nothing new." I say before I kiss her chastely. She wraps her arms around my waist and I put mine around her neck.

"I love you too." I say and she nods.
"I have something else to tell you though."

"I'm listening." She bites her lip then takes a deep breath.
"I'm pregnant." My eyebrows furrow and I tilt my head to the left slightly.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

"Yeah. I went to the doctor before we left." I'm about almost six weeks."

"You're fine with this?" I ask and she nods.

"I'm not upset. I wanted to have your kid anyway, it's just a little sooner than I thought."

"You wanted to get married first right?" I ask and she nods.

"Well..." I reach to my back pocket and pull out a small box then open it before I show it to her.

"How fast can you plan a wedding?" Her eyes widen as she looks at the ring in the box and she looks from the box to me then the box then me again.

"Are you want to...?"

"Marry you? Hell yeah. I made the mistake of letting you go once, I won't do it again. I know we haven't been back together that long so if you want to wait awhile before we actually get married then I'm okay with that." She nods her head and looks at me.

"Aren't you going to put it on me?" She asks.

"I didn't get an answer yet."

"I didn't hear a question." She says and I roll my eyes playfully.

"Will you marry me?"

"Let me think about it." She says as she puts her hand on her chin. I sigh and she laughs then nods her head.

"Of course I will." I take the ring out of the box, grab her left hand and slide the ring on her finger. Luckily it fits. She looks at the ring then kisses me. I pull her impossibly close to me and our kiss breaks after a few minutes.
"We're going to have a baby." I say with a smile and she nods.

"We're getting married." She hugs me while leaning her head on my shoulder and we both hear fireworks. We both look out into the sky and see bright bursts of color in the sky. I know it may seem a little soon because we haven't been together an entire year yet but I want to show her I'm serious about the progression of our relationship and this and a baby seem like great ways to do that.

I wish Aiden was awake to see this but he seemed tired. Normani turns around in my arms to watch the fireworks and I put my hands on her stomach then rest my chin on her shoulder. I'm holding my fiancee and unborn child the only thing that could make this moment better is having Aiden right next to us. I actually have a family right. A family that I made. I don't think it can get better from here.
