"And up next for the performances," The announcer spoke into his microphone, "Heather Duke, with 'You Don't Know Me!', and a message for Heather McNamara." He exited the stage, as the lights went out, and Duke came on, gulping. She never was one for doing performances, despite the fact she was the head of the Yearbook Committee. She scanned the crowd of students, spotting her ex-girlfriend. She really wanted her back, and this was her last chance.

"Hi, Westerburg," She started, staring at Mac from the darkness. The lights weren't coming on until she started singing. But that didn't matter to her, "And Heather," She continued, "I'm sorry for being such a mega bitch to you, so this song's dedicated to you, my wonderful ex. I hope you'll take me back, and if not, that's fine too." Mac perked up from her seat, and she looked at the stage. She wanted to get back with Duke, but their argument hurt her deeply. But if she was going through this much trouble, that was slowly convincing her otherwise.

Duke opened her mouth, and began to sing when the lights highlighted her,

"You think you know me,

But you don't know me.

You think you own me,

But you can't control me.

You look at me,

And there's just one thing that you see,

So listen to me!"

She grinned, her hips slowly swaying side-to-side as she got into the song, her worry and stage fright melting into confidence as she finally got the spotlight for the first time in ages,

"Listen to me!"

She smiled brightly, not noticing Mac slowly start to push through the sea of stunned and memorised students to get to Duke. She was right at the back, so it'd be best if she start now,

"You push me back,

I push you back,

Harder, harder!

You scream at me,

I scream at you,

Louder, l-l-l-l-louder!

I'm dangerous, I'm warning you!

But you're not afraid of me,

And I can't convince you,

You don't know me."

The dark haired girl couldn't spot Mac, and she deflated, 'Well, shite, the show must go on! Okay, that was corny, brain.' She thought bitterly, as she twirled in a circle, the students roaring in approval, mainly because some of the hornier students stared at her arse. Mac was currently halfway through the crowd fighting through Ram and Kurt, as Duke raised the microphone again,

"You think you got me,

But you don't, get me.

You think you want me,

But you don't know what you're getting into!

There's so much more to me,

Then what you think you see...

So listen to me!"

She roared as a yellow blur passed by the center of the stood crowd. It confused her, but she ignored the feeling in her gut. It couldn't be Mac, Mac hated her now. Right?

"Just listen to me!

You push me back,

I push you back,

Harder, harder!

You scream at me,

I scream at you,

Louder, l-l-l-l-louder!

I'm dangerous, I'm warning you!

But you're not afraid of me,

And I can't convince you,

You don't know me."

Mac continued to fight through the sea of probably horny and turned on boys. She had encountered Ram and Kurt kissing in the middle of her Dukie's song. She couldn't deny that she wasn't happy for the two - because she was, her and Kurt's 'dating' wasn't very committed which is why they split. He liked Ram, and Mac liked Duke. They were both fine with splitting. She was almost at the front, she was so close!

"And the longer that you stay, the ice is melting,

And the pain feels okay, it feels okay! (Heyyy..)"

...You push me back,

I push you back,

You scream at me,

I scream at you.."

Duke scanned the crowd, spotting Heather Chandler, but not Heather McNamara. Not her Heather. She didn't let it show though,

"Louder,

Louder,

Louder,

Louder!

Louder!

Louder!

Louder!

Louder!

Louder!"

Her green angel continued as she reached backstage, having to convince the DJ, who for some ungodly reason was J.D, and he let her through after a few minutes. The trenchcoat was actually pretty civil as a DJ, not too shabby at his assigned job, either. Wait, was that a hamster on his desk? Mac continued, now onstage but hidden,

"You push me back,

I push you back.

Harder, harder!

You scream at me,

I scream at you,

Louder, l-l-l-l-louder!

I'm dangerous, I'm warning you!

But you're not afraid of me,

And I can't convince you,

And I don't have to,

I think you know me..."

Duke finished singing, as the song ended. Mac rushed onto the stage, grabbing Duke and kissing her passionately infront of everyone. They hadn't come out as a couple to anyone besides Chandler and Veronica, but now or never, right? Mac grabbed the microphone out of Duke's hand, "ALRIGHT! ME AND DUKE ARE A THING! GOT A PROBLEM, AND I'LL RIP YOUR EYES OUT!" She then dropped the mic and kissed her again, before hugging her tightly, as most of the students erupted into confused and slightly disappointed cheers and claps. Duke raised a brow in shock as Mac looked up at her, "I'm so sorry," She sniffled, "I didn't mean to be such an arsehole!"

"It was my fault, Heather, but if you'd like to get back together, I'd really try to change my ways." She was answered by a kiss to her lips and a giggly Mac poking her nose.

"You know what? Let's do it!"
