"A letter for you good sir"
He took the envelope from the delivery boy.
"But-a who is this from?"
The letter had only two words
"Not my business sir, I just deliver them"
He thanked the boy, before he departed. After he was gone, Mario stood there by the door, examining the envelope. It was just after dusk. Post offices usually never operated after business hours, which means that someone with money or status probably pulled some strings to make the delivery happen.
He walked back inside, and closed the door behind him. He had been busy cooking up something to eat tonight. While he was in his way to the kitchen, he tore open the envelope and pulled out the letter. His eyes slowly widened when he saw who it was from.
He didn't waste any time in wondering why she sent him a letter. It was pretty obvious that she must have received his letter.
I enjoyed our time together at the party, although I do wish it didn't end as abruptly as it did. In fact, I would like to meet you again tomorrow morning.
I wrote the address as to where we should meet up tomorrow at 8am, you'll find it at the back of the letter.
I'll be looking forward to seeing you again Mario, I'm sure we'll have a wonderful time.
He wasn't expecting a reply this soon, but who was he to complain. He couldn't believe how lucky he was, as he sat there in the kitchen imaging all the fun they could get up to tomorrow. It was only when his nose began to sting that he finally woke up from his fantasies. He had been so lost in thought that he forgot to check on the food, leaving it to burn on the stove.
Quickly, he ran over and picked up the frying pan, tossing it on the sink. He opened the tap full, water shot out and splashed everywhere. He even messed his clothes.
I'm really-a going to need a shower, and a change of clothes after this, he thought. But after I clean this mess up.
"I have the flu....is that the best story you two came up with?", Peach asked the two of them.
Rosalina and Daisy were trying to figure out a way to help Peach not get noticed by the guards. After Friday's events, she was going to be hounded by guards every day until the situation had been resolved. So, Daisy came up with the idea to lie to everyone that Peach was coming down with the flu. Pretty Simple. At least that way, she would get all the alone time she wanted for herself, without having to leave her room. As for the maids and guards, Daisy came up with her own way of handling them while Peach was away.
"Don't worry Princess, all you need to do is be prepared to escape at the right time tomorrow. everything has been prepared for your getaway", Rosalina said
"and we got your clothes all ironed and ready", daisy added
Everything was set. All that was left, was to cross their fingers and hope that her escape goes smoothly.
Mario had arrived a bit earlier than originally arranged. They were scheduled to meet at the centre of the shopping district, near the fountain.
