Ellen’s POV

“Thank you for tonight.” I smile after I unlock my door, I stand with my hands behind my back, Louis has his hands buried in his pockets as we observe each other.

“I guess I will see you tomorrow?” He asks and I nod.

“Im sure you will.” I state and look towards the ground.

“Well goodnight.” I smile.

“Goodnight.” I say and he hesitates to turn, I watch him walk down the path to his car before I open the door and step out of the night, my parents are seated on the lounge, so is Tegan.

“So, how was it?” Tegan asked, a smirk on her face.

“Fine.” I reply as I start to make my way towards my room.

“Well, what happen? Where’d he take you?” my mum asked as she and Tegan stand, my dad looking over the back of the lounge at me.

“He took me to a restaurant and we came back here, nothing to flash.” My mum frowns at the lack of information im giving her, Tegan follows me to my room, I walk in and she follows closing the door behind me, I head into my wardrobe and strip down before slipping on a pair of PJs and joining Tegan in my room again.

“So did you kiss?” she asks bitting her bottom lip, I look at her before grabbing a hair tie.

“What, why not?” I look towards her as she frowns at me.

“I don’t know, it just didn’t happen.” I shrug, “Were we supposed to?”

“Yes. Yes you were supposed to. You like him right?” I nod, “He like you.” She pauses, “You are supposed to kiss, it’s just how it works.”

“Well that’s not what happen.” I say tying my hair back.

“Then how did it go?” she asked and I shrugged.

“I don’t exactly have anything to compare it too, he was nice as always, funny.” I shrug, “It was just dinner Tegan.”

“What between two friend?” I shrug for what feels like the millionth time tonight with her. “Ellen stop thinking of yourself as just friends.”

“Then what am I supposed to refer to us as, we aren’t dating.” I look at her, “Were friends.”

“Well there’s an easy way to get from being friends to more than friends, ask him where you stand, ask him where going on a date leave you.”

“Go home.”

“Text him.”

“I am not texting him about where our relationship stands, I don’t even know if he still wants to date me, maybe that’s why he didn’t kiss me.”

“Or maybe he didn’t kiss you because he knows you were scared to.” I frown.

“I’ll see you in the morning.” I half smile, “Good night.” I hug her and she leaves my room, I go to the bathroom to remove my contacts and brush my teeth, I go back to my room and turn the light off, slipping under the covers I roll on my side and close my eyes.

Next day

I sat though math not really focused on the work, I didn’t notice what I has been doodling until I was snapped out of my thoughts by a table hitting the floor, I looked around and noticed the one in front of me but one row in had been toppled over and the last thing I saw leave the room were brown curls. Harry. I looked at the page in my book, a drawing of half a person and a table, it was Louis, sitting at the table last night at dinner, I closed my book and pushed it in my bag before leaving after him, the teacher calling my name but I just close the door.
