Sonic was quiet as we walked through the forest, Zero had said that Amy and Blaze were here with two other hedgehogs

I was worried, everyone will find out what we are eventually, we were near the centre, we all heard voices, I recognised them, it was Martha, Connor, Amy and Blaze

I looked to Sonic and saw his eyes fixed on one of them, I couldn't tell who, Zero and Gadget glanced at each other and everyone else were ready for a fight

Their ears perked up and Martha sniffed the air, her eyes narrowed to where we were and she smiled, a smile of victory

I sighed knowing she had seen us and walked into the small clearing

" oh so nice of you to drop by, and I see you brought a few friends with you, and mortals I see " Martha clicked her tongue

" Martha, leave them out of this, this is between us " I stated meaning between me and my brother and her and her brother

She shrugged

" I'm not the one that got them involved am I vampire " She said coolly, I bit my lip and glanced at my brother who was looking down

" wait what?" I heard Knuckles state

Zero and Gadget held each other's hand as they looked at Martha

The sun was beginning to rise, I looked to my brother, he hadn't eaten the fungus, when the full moon was in the sky a week ago, I frowned, he seemed to realise this too

" Martha...please " Sonic said quietly

Martha rolled her eyes and drew her silver cult and Connor seemed to hesitate as he brought out his blade, I felt the tension in everyone around me, and I did the only thing I could

I surrendered, I put myself on my knees and put my hands behind my head, and I held a blank expression as I looked at my cousins grand children

Everyone seemed taken back by my actions

" I was going to tell you Blaze " I said as I looked at her, she looked horrified as tears fell, I felt someone next to me and I saw my brother in the same position

I looked at who was next to Sonic, Zero and Infinite had done the same

" leave the mortals out of this...let them walk away, along with the witchling " Zero stated, I looked at my brothers face, he was terrified, but he stayed strong, he's always been scared of death, because we knew we'd never see our family again

Martha and Connor looked at each other and blinked

" I'm sorry I dragged you into this Maurice " I said to my brother, as tears fell, he looked at me and frowned

" and what about the other hedgehog " Martha hissed at us

" he isn't like us...he may be immortal, but he isn't like us, he was created using hedgehog and alien DNA " Sonic said quietly, I glanced behind us and everyone seemed horrified at what was happening

I don't blame them...I'm terrified
