We got started to stand up, but Jennifer slipped and I caught her by her waist and pulled her close to my chest. She gasped in surprise. Our faces were very close. I could feel her breath on my lips and we started to lean in...

...and our lips were about to touch until her dad walked in.
"Jen, your mother is getting impatient." Mr.Pierce said. He didn't seem phased by how close we were. I looked at him and gave him a nod. I let go of Jennifer and helped her inside.
She smiled at me and gave me a tight hug. Mr.Pierce gave her a smile and rushed her downstairs. He closed the door and turned to me. He motioned to the bed and I sat down next to him.
"He's still out there, living and breathing, and I want him dead. I want him to feel the pain my parents felt when he killed them. I want him to suffer." I started to grip the bed too tight and I heard a piece of the bed break off.
Jefferson grabbed my hand and stopped me from breaking the bed.
"Trevor you can't let your anger get the best of you. Control it. Maybe I can help you find the man you're looking for, only if you promise not to do anything stupid." Jefferson let go of my arm and I nodded at him.
"His name is Latavious. I don't know much about him, except that he owns Club 100." Jefferson seemed to have jumped at the name, but I didn't question it.
"I'll ask a friend to look into him." He said and we walked down the stairs and he bid me a good night. I made my way back to the place I call home, well temporary home.
On my way back, I heard gunshots, but that wasn't something new. But, I heard muffled voices from behind a fence. I walked over and saw a scene unfold, which resulted in the death of a woman. I watched as the man lowered his gun and cursed and himself.
I knew I should've helped, but I'm not in control over myself. I rushed the orphanage and wandered to my room. Chris wasn't there, so I quickly took a shower and hurried to bed.
The Next Day
As I got ready for school, I got a call from Jennifer. I smiled and answered.
Jenn: Hey Trevor, I was just calling to thank you for hanging out with me yesterday. It was dope.
Trev: No problem, girl. You know I would never pass up the opportunity to hang out with a pretty girl, like yourself.
Jenn laughed and we bid our goodbyes. Damn, that girl is doing something to me.
I made it to school just in time. As I walked down the hallway I passed the Office and saw Mr. Pierce. After the vice principal left, I walked into the Office and I overheard Mr. Pierces' conversation.
[CELL PHONE BUZZING] Yeah.
[Mr. Pierce] Hey.
[Unknown] Good news. I found Will. Bad news, he's dead. I got here before the police, and whoever killed him didn't take his cell phone. Mobile phones are the enemy of bad guys. When are they gonna learn?
