Loki X Reader

Human again

Normal POV:

It has been a couple of days since (Y/N) has been this way and they still have not found a way to turn her back. Hydra used many different experiments, making it difficult to understand what did what exactly. All that they know for now is that she stays in her wolf form and cannot remember anything.

Still, their new life isn't all that bad. It is now normal to see Loki reading a book with the dog curled up against him, or to see Clint playing with her, or even seeing Wanda using her powers to throw frisbees that the dog would run after and catch in mid-air. (Y/N) is now completely comfortable around the Avengers, though she still likes Loki's presence more. She will calmly follow him around, not asking for anything more than a few pats on the head here and there.

They all find it adorable, but they want their friend back. One day, Bruce and Tony discover a serum to turn her back human. The Avengers all meet at the lab to talk about what they should do, Loki sitting with (Y/N) on his lap. The dog is sleeping soundly, tired of a day of playing with Wanda. "Are you sure that you can turn her back?" Asks Steve. "Yes," Answers Bruce with a nod.

"But is it really a good idea? She would be in her human form but she'd still not remember anything. It could become complicated," Says Natasha. "At the same time, being in her human form could help trigger her memories. A dog mind is different from a human mind," Says Wanda. "I think we should turn her back. Being in her dog form for so long could become dangerous," Says Tony, making everyone look at him. "Dangerous?" Asks Sam, worried.

"Being in her dog form for so long could change her," Simply says Tony. They discuss for a while before turning to Loki. "It's your choice, Reindeer games. She is your girlfriend after all," Says Tony. Loki nods seriously. "We should turn her back human," He says. Everyone agrees and Loki wakes up (Y/N) who stretches before getting up, looking at him with a confused face as to why he woke her up.

He pats her head and brings her to a room where they will turn her back. As she sees the needle, she whimpers loudly and backs away from them. Bruce, the one holding the needle, glances at Tony who shrugs. Loki seems to think for a solution. "We cannot use a needle. Can we make her swallow it?" He asks. "Swallow what now?" Asks Tony with a smirk that gets whipped off as Bruce hits him on the arm. "Yes, we can," Answers Banner before giving the serum to Loki.

He somehow makes her swallow it even though she doesn't want to. She starts convulsing as it takes effect. "Why is she convulsing!?" Asks Loki. "It's normal," Says Tony as they all watch with worry on their faces. She starts changing back, fur disappearing to show human skin. Loki makes a coat appear and puts it over her, worried. When she is completely transformed back into human form, she opens her eyes, looking directly at the god of mischief.

"Who... Are you?" She asks, seeming confused. Then, she looks around the room as she sits up, seeing the two other men. "W-where am I? Do I know you? Why am I naked?" She asks, panicking more and more each question. Loki pushes Bruce and Tony out of the room seeing as she is scared of them. He sits on the ground the farthest from her. "Your name is (Y/N) (L/N). You are in the Avengers' compound. You were in your dog form but we transformed you back. Do you remember anything?" He asks, keeping his voice soft and calm as to not scare her.

"I... Only remember pain... The rest is all blurry." She shakes her head, seeming in pain. He gets up, wanting to help her, but she backs away as he walks closer. "Who are you? Why do I feel like I know you?" She asks, scared. He frowns at her, pain in his eyes. "I'm Loki," He simply says, not knowing what to say more. It's not like it is important right now.

His eyes widen as she touches his cheek. He hadn't even realized she had come that close. Looking into his eyes, she frowns. "I know those eyes... I knew you, didn't I? You seem to know me personally." He nods. She smiles a bit. "You're cold, you know? But I like it," She says with a small laugh. He smirks sweetly at her but then realizes that she is still not really clothed.

"My apologies, I will get you some clothes," He says with a nod before getting up. "Right. Thanks." He nods at her and leaves the room, coming back with clothes. "This was your usual choice of clothing. I will be waiting outside, come out when you are finished," He says simply, leaving the room so she can change. She comes out a while after, wearing her clothes but also his coat, making him smile.

"I'll bring you to your room so you can rest, changing forms must be exhausting," He says. She seems scared and he puts a hand on her shoulder, gently enough so she won't be scared. "Do not worry, I will be right next door." She seems relieved by that, nodding slightly. He gestures to the elevator and they go in. He is surprised that Tony is nowhere in sight, thinking that Steve must have dragged him away so he would not scare her.

He glances at her. She seems so worried, but anyone would be after waking up naked with three men next to you and not remembering anything. He was surprised that she did not attack first and ask questions later. He is now realizing just how much she must have trusted him before for her to trust him now even while not remembering him.

The elevator doors open and they walk out. He opens one of the many doors. She hesitates but slowly walks in, looking around her room. She seems comfortable, it's as if her heart remembers the place. "I will be next door if you need me. Sleep well." He goes to leave the room but a voice stops him. "Wait!" He turns around and looks at (Y/N) who looks surprised of her own reaction.

"Um... I don't remember anything and I am... supposed to know you... So it must hurt to see me act like you are a stranger... But if it helps, I do not feel like you are a stranger," She says, her voice changing into almost a whisper at the end, though she is looking at him right in the eyes. He smiles at her softly. "That is good to know. Thank you," He says, making her blush. "W-well, uh, goodnight," She mumbles as he chuckles at her cute face. "Goodnight."
