The Caster was quick with her magic as she locked herself away into the lab where she was to perform the spell to bring back everyone that they loved. Sweat fell down her temples as she chanted the spell, over and over again. Giselle was determined to get back everyone that they lost that day so that they would never have to go another day without them. That she would never have to go another day without Mantis because it was the woman that she loved more than anything.

Every few minutes, Calix would glance into the room to make sure that Giselle was alright. That her friend wasn't overworking herself and that she would be able to bring them all back without killing herself. There were times that Calix had seen a stream of blood begin to make its way from her nose and down to her chest. That was when Calix cleaned it from her nose and would allow her to keep going. Calix rubbed her friend's shoulder in an attempt to keep her calm.

The pain of the magic continued on as she pushed harder and harder, further and further. But she knew that she could not stop. With every ounce of magic that flowed from her as she held onto the Soul Stone, chanting and chanting. Giselle could feel herself begin to grow weaker and weaker the longer that she used her magic.

But then she could hear the voices of the victims of Thanos within the Soul Stone and she inhaled sharply. She did not open her eyes as she clutched the stone in her and she dug her fingernails into the palms of her hand. Tears began to stream down her cheeks as she pushed herself over the edge. Hoping and praying that her magic would've been enough. That her strength was depleting with every word that she uttered out.

Calix sat in the room with Giselle during one of the final stretches of the spell. Her hands were in her lap as she stared at her friend, watching as she could barely stay standing the longer that she performed the spell. Everything was eating away at her because she knew that magic had a price. From everything that Giselle had said to Calix about magic, there were so many ways that it could end. That the magic would eat away at her very soul before sending her to the floor dead.

The alien was gonna be damned if she couldn't stop her from killing herself. Giselle was the closest thing that she had as a family, and it was one of the last connections that she had to Alaska Minerva. Calix rested her hand on her pregnant belly, which was not showing seeing as she was early in her pregnancy, but she couldn't help but think about Peter Quill. The man she loved, the man that she would always love.

Standing up from where she stood, Calix approached Giselle and walked around her, her eyes looking down at the Soul Stone as she watched it begin to glow; the energy within it swirling as the souls were called upon. For some odd reason, Calix believed that it was working. That with each swirl, another person was returned home to their loved ones, that another soul was brought back to life.

But then her eyes looked up to Giselle and she could see the veins beneath her skin pop and that she was beginning to grow even paler than she already was. Calix narrowed her eyes at Giselle and rested a hand against the small of her back. She began to beg her to stop the spell, to think about herself before she let herself go down in flames.

A gasp then left Giselle's lips as she held the Soul Stone in her hand, the stone beginning to burn into the palm of her hand, and, at first, it seemed as if it was beginning to crack. Calix's eyes widened as she stared down at the stone in her hand before Giselle began to fall to the floor. Calix fell with her as she rested her hands on her, holding Giselle up before the eyes of the Caster went back into her head and she laid on the floor; unconscious.

But as the Caster laid on the floor, she would wake up to realize that it had worked. That everything that she had done to risk her life in the hopes of bringing back everyone that Thanos had damned. It had worked. And, when she would wake, she would find herself surrounded by all of the people she loved, as well as a few friendly faces.
