The Caster wanted nothing more than to bargain with the Soul Stone and get her sister back, but she couldn't. She had made a deal with the Soul Stone and gave it what it demanded of her, and the Stone was ruthless. The Stone didn't give, it only took away from those that desired to wield its powers. Something that she needed to understand, herself.

The Guardians, or what was left of them, all stared at the Caster as she stared down at the golden stone. Tears trailed down her cheeks as the Stone stared up at her. Her heart cried out for whatever God there was, other than the Asgardians that walked the Earth. She cried for help from the higher power that her people prayed to on a daily basis so they could have their magic. The Guardians knew what Giselle was going through her hurt more than anything possibly could, and they didn't know how they could help her. She was in a very sensitive place, and no one knew how far she was willing to go after what she did to her own family.

Once the Milano landed, everyone stepped off the ship, Giselle being the final one off of the spacecraft. As they stepped off, the remaining Avengers were there to greet them, wanting to know what had happened. But all they got as an answer was Giselle walking right past them and into the Wakandan palace with the Soul Stone in her grasp. No one dared to question what was wrong with the girl or what she had to do in order to get the stone.

Giselle made her way to, what used to be, Shuri's lab. She placed the Soul Stone down on a table and stared down at it, wondering what she was even going to do. How she was going to draw out all of the souls that were trapped inside and return them to their normal lives. She didn't notice another figure walking into the room as Giselle stared at the stone, concentrating on the power that it held.

Tony Stark stared at the young Caster, wondering what she had to endure. He pressed his lips together as he approached the young Caster, standing on the other side of the table she stood at. She felt his presence as he stood there, but she didn't want to look up at the man. She knew that he was there to speak to her, but she didn't know what he was going to say. Giselle didn't even know what she was going to say to him.

He walked around the table and rested a hand on the young woman's shoulder, giving it a comforting squeeze. She lifted her eyes for a few seconds as she stared in front of her, before glancing up at him. His eyes were focused on the stone and he tilted his head to the side as he stared down at the glowing little rock that she had gone off to obtain.

"I know it must have been difficult for you to get the stone, your friends explained to us briefly about how you had to get it," Tony explained to her and Giselle nodded her head to him. "If I knew what you had to do in order to get the stone, I would've asked you not to do it. I'm sorry for your loss of your sister. I know how it feels, seeing as I lost my brother to Thanos."

"I had to," Giselle replied to him, her eyes growing teary once more. "She knew what it meant before we went through with it . . . and she didn't fight me. She was willing to go through with it as long as the rest of the universe was saved." The Caster glanced over her shoulder to Tony Stark, shaking her head to him. "If she would have had the option, she would have done the exact same thing. She should have been the one to push me off of that cliff and be in charge of saving everyone, but that responsibility has fallen on me."

Tony stared at the young girl and he could see the conflict that resided behind her gaze. He felt for her and he understood everything that she was going through. Giselle could see everything that he had gone through, and she felt a connection to the man in front of her. The two were similar souls that wandered the earth, and only heaven knew what it was like for two people to live in similar ways.

Giselle's attention turned back to the Soul Stone on the table in front of her and she rested her hand against the table. Tony followed her eyes and stared at the stone before he left her alone in the room. She had work to do, and she couldn't have any distractions around her as she worked. Even though she wanted nothing more than for her sister to be there and help her along the way.

But she was alone, and she had to deal with that.

Tony is going to act like a protective dad over her, and he is going to be the one to offer her guidance through everything. Something is going to happen next chapter, and we will see the return of a certain character. Who do you guys think that character is? I'd love to know your theories!
