Giselle glanced over her shoulder to look over the rest of the group; Nebula, Calix, Rocket, and Viola all glanced around the empty planet, that only held a red sky that was blocked with heavy clouds, with only a large structure in the middle of it all. Giselle glanced up at the stone structure, inhaling deeply as she began to walk toward it.
Everyone followed behind her, talking to each other about what was in store for them as the caster was ready to bargain with the Devil in order to save half of the universe. It was hidden behind pure intentions, but Giselle knew what was going to be required of her, with the reminder from Nebula herself. Nebula had lost her sister due to Thanos needing to retrieve the stone for himself. Giselle knew that the decision she was about to make was going to break her heart, as well as the heart of the one who was to be sacrificed.
The closer they got to the top, the more serious the whole situation became. Giselle was becoming anxious about the decision she was going to make, and she was almost ready to completely back out. There was the horrible decision that everyone was asked when they came for the Soul Stone, and she was going to be asked it then and there. At first, she believed that she would be able to make the sacrifice necessary to save billions of people that disappeared.
But now, she wasn't too sure.
Stepping into a dark cave of Vormir, a figure could be seen approaching them. Giselle narrowed her eyes at the being before they came into view. Their face seemed as if it was a skeleton, that was pressing through the skin. It was a dull red, which had faded due to the being who was banished there for so long. Giselle had learned about the guardian of the Stone, knowing exactly his background and his ties to the rest of the Avengers ― Steve Rogers in particular.
Giselle pressed her lips together as she stared at the man known as the Red Skull. The man stared at the Caster before his eyes ran over all of the other members of the group. He narrowed his eyes at them before he adjusted the hood that was draped over his bare head.
"Who the hell are you?" Calix questioned as she stared at the man in front of them, and, for a second, he didn't respond. But the longer that everyone found themselves staring at him, the more he realized he wouldn't be able to go through with his day without explaining himself.
"Johann Schmidt, I prefer Red Skull," The man replied to her, and Calix narrowed her eyes at him. But he simply ignored her as he turned his eyes to meet with Giselle's. He took a few steps closer to her, but she revealed her free hand and proved to him that she would not hesitate to harm him, even if he was the slave to the Soul Stone after his abuse of the Space Stone. "Welcome, Giselle, daughter to magic herself. Calix Starr, daughter of Ares. Nebula, daughter of Thanos. Viola, daughter to magic herself. And Rocket, son of no one."
